My best mate's mother's butcher told her delivery man that his brother in law's older brother got word that there were two players at Catland that worked harder than all others in the pre-season.
Something they had in common was that they both needed to atone for personal misdemeanours committed in 2006 and beyond.
It was predicted that they would each have a big 2007.
Those players were Steve Johnson and Josh Hunt.
As we know SJ has got off to a flyer (after doing his time) and he is burning.
The other bloke has my sympathies
The team is travelling so well that perhaps Hunt is also doing his penance as he languishes in the twos.
I suspect that he would be getting a game at most other clubs at the moment.
I have this feeling in the pit my considerable gut that ol Josh just might play a larger role in our Finals campaign than most would anticipate.

I hope so, because when his mind is right, his long direct kicking can cause all sorts of problems for the opposition.

I'd be seriously disappointed to lose him!

Keep the work rate up Josh, you'll be back in soon enough fella!!!

You're right about one thing there dig, you do have a considerable gut :D

Joshy get a bad run on here for some reason. I totally agree that he could be a damaging player come finals time. So will Pris. I can see both getting a fair run in the seniors before the end of the season.

And just for the record... my brothers OBGYN's podiatrist's friend with bennafit's dog instructor's astrologists's mechanic's forklift operator said that inferno's mum's sister's daughters fathers brothers cousin uncles ticket inspectors personal knitting machine operator can't sew for crap.

Agreed, the key to finals is, paradoxically, depth and stability.

Sydney have had unbelievable stability i nthe last few years while West Coast have been able to cover any injurioes come finals time.
In an ideal world, Hunt, Prismall, and dare is say it Gardiner, Byrnes and Playfair would get a few games under their belt in the second half to ensure they're up to the pace if needed.

These two have already shown that they are not up to it.
Would rather Djerrkura and West get some game time.

Josh hasn't put a foot wrong this season, it's just that Thompson plays favourites and Josh clearly isn't one of those.
No Josh - No chance of winning the flag.

No, he's played in the AFL squad this year. He did pretty poorly. He kicked it like nearly straight to the opposition few times. And that was a costly mistake.
But I think once he gets back on his feet he'll be an asset.

Are you serious, without him we're no chance of winning the flag?

He may be somewhat unlucky not to be in the side, but spots are pretty tight at the moment and Josh is just one of several vying for one of them; personally I'd like to see him in, preferably somewhere in the midfield or forward, but to suggest he's the difference between winning or not winning a flag is drawing a pretty long bow I'd have to say.
