Who here likes Incubus or knows what they wre up to at the moment, because i have been searching the net and no site has any up to date news on them. They are supposed to be recording their new album, but their website is so bloody old that it still has artwork from their last album that was realeased nearly 3 yrs ago.

Massive Incubus fan, they recently did a couple of tunes for a movie but they are working on their album. I am led to believe March 2006 is the date they are setting for.

Hope it's better than ACLOTM, which I didn't mind but I think was a step backwards.

New album is expected next year sometime- they did some songs for the Stealth soundtrack I believe

Yeah Stealth that was it.

Hopefully they bring out another awesome DVD with it.

One of the best bands of the last 10 years.
Agree.

Just a super classy band who write great tunes and can perform them superbly live. No weak links either. Great vocals, fresh rythms, great sounds and tight as all hell but never lacking feel. Its becoming all to rare in music today to find a band full of great players.

And while DJ/Turntablists in rock bands has become a bit passé in certain circles, Incubus' DJ Kilmore is as much a muso and as crucial to that band's sound as any of them. If you ever get the chance, have a look at the Morning View Sessions DVD and in particular check out his work in the tune "Mexico". The feel and timing of how he feeds in the strings on that tune is incredible.

Incubus are pretty much the only ones i can think of to emerge from that whole mid 90's "Nu" thing that still sound relevant (i'd love to say Sevendust as well but it has to be said that their sound hasn't exactly evolved...) They were always a cut above and were always going to grow past the whole thing, but it makes me laugh how back in the day they were the one's supporting the Limp Bizkits/Korns/Deftones etc and now make all of those cats sound like they cant play.

Mexico is a suberb song- along with 11am. Kilmore's work on those tracks was breathtaking.

Pretty much agree with Carlos. Top band, great live. Started to get talked about when they were hand picked by Korn to replace Orgy on the Family Values Tour back in 98ish for a couple of gigs. 'Drive' shot them to commercial stardom and they went from there.

I wasnt a fan of their last album. Had a few listens but just couldnt get into it. Still cant split S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Make Yourself as my favourite album. Science is funky and chunky as hell...but theres something beautiful about Make Yourself. Can listen to that album from start to finish over and over again.

Put on a very good show when here in 2002. Pity it wasnt at Thebby here in Adelaide and was at the cold half empty Entertainment Centre instead.

My all time favourite band.

Like Carlos said each band member is incredibly talented which is so rare these days.

Saw them last year at Rod Laver Arena and it was an awesome show and such a great experience.
