Round 9 is upon us, and we have the privilege of opening Indigenous round with arguably the most Aboriginal talent in the competition.:)

Each of Eddie, Yaz, Garlett and lets not forget A.Walker, have provided incredible excitement already in 2011. I for one can't wait for some more breedoo* moments tomorrow night.

So as we enter the most exciting game of our season so far:

1) Do you think we have the best Indigenous talent in the league?
2) What is your favorite breedoo moment of 2011 so far?
3) Are there any up-and-coming players I've forgotten on our list?

*breedoo: the sound MMM broadcasters make to represent how fast the indigenous player's legs are moving.

Melbourne has some good young indigenous talent, pretty even I'd say.

We are thereabouts. Just happy to have all those guys playing for us, they bring such excitement to the game. I think the best moment of 2011 is yet to come. Just wait to you see them celebrating with the Premiership cup. THAT will be special.

What a shot! Whinged for years why we couldn't do what Sheedy had been doing in advancing the indigenous efforts. No more complaining. Would like to see a little more CFC jumper but...........fmd, what a pic. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Interesting stories each has too, when you think about it:

Walker the highest pick, but coming after that horrible black period of draft penalties into bad times of results, personnel, finances, coaches etc then injuries...high expectations, bad run with injuries, supporters turning on him for perceived failure, up for trade etc...but now turning it around personally and helping the club turn it around too...

Yarran taken high but considered risky because of his background, father in gaol etc, now looking like the cream of his crop and a bona fide superstar in the making...

Eddie passed over in the national draft because of personal demons, and us taking him in the PSD because some spud we had lined up was pounced on by Richmond (thank de Lawd!) Played pretty much every game since and become a unique stalwart of the team and club...

And Jeff, off the rookie list for God's sake, will go down as the best rookie pick since Dean Cox, a freakish talent who was sleeping in cars and half starved a few short years ago...

This is the stuff legends are built around.

It's called 'developing talent' instead of buying it like we always did, and these 4 funksoulbrothers are part of the reason we will challenge for a flag.

...Ball comes in to the Blues' left forward pocket...Big pack forms but no mark...Eddie is first to the ball, stands up strong in the Melbourne tackle and finds Walker 5m out from the behind post...Walker spins around and somehow fires a 2m handpass to Garlett in heavy traffic...Garlett receives at full pace and magically dribbles a goal from an impossible angle... breedoo
