Something I'd like from Darling is for him to do the easy offensive stuff a lot better and focus on being more physical defensively.
Right now he's trying to physically dominate his opponent in the air, outrun faster players, do triple backflip ninja goals, I want more of the Josh Jenkins simple lead and mark, work to space etc. You just get the feeling his game style from juniors was to dominate physically and he's not actually good enough to do that, needs to get smarter.
Then defensively hopefully he'll have more energy to bring back season 2-3 Darling, the manic chases, tackles and pressure off the ball that's been less noticeable the past few seasons. Do this and the talk about him being soft will dry up IMO
