soooo.... is this better than Prototype? ;)

Way to early to tell. I've had more fun with Prototype at this stage, if that's what you want to hear, it's more my style of game

Why buy so many games? Especially when you are only going to be able to play the bare minimum of them.

Because I can

I just bought prototype on my pc and am having fun with it. I'm deciding on which ps3 pack to buy and it's either the ghostbusters pack of the infamous one. So yeah, people with both games opinions would be nice to hear.

I have both and inFAMOUS is so much better, in every aspect.

Some of the missions get a little bit repetitive but nothing like the repetitiveness of Prototype.

Plus I'm a Kurtwood Smith fan so listen to me :D.

Is it better than ghostbusters? I also get assassins creed and the mega drive pack with infamous (though I have AC on pc, and about ten million megadrive roms as well so both are useless to me).

Havn't played GhostBusters but watched some online video reviews of it. Seems good but there's some pretty big flaws with it.

Sitting on 74/100 or something with 15+ reviews on MetaCritic whereas inFAMOUS is on 84/100 with 70+ reviews.

Sega MegaDrive is fun, I played around 5 hours of it, pretty good games on there.

AC, SMD and IF > GB :).

Hey Forrest im pretty sure my local Kmart had infamous + g/busters + another game(cant remember) in a console deal might be what your looking for.

I just got this today and put in a solid 6 hours on it immediately. Addictive as.

Definitely Platinum worthy. :)

I presume if you start doing good guy stuff at the start you do the whole game doing good deeds; then play again as evil?

that's the idea

there's no point being stuck in the middle doing good and bad stuff....because not only does it stop you from reaching full positive or negative karma...but you don't get certain power types and if you're going for the platinum you will miss out on certain trophies just from playing completely one way or the other.

Ferked if can do that stunt where you have to jump, lightening bolt then thunder drop all in one move. It is friggen killing me. I've tried to do it for three bloody hours.

Still need 20 more shards as well. Tedious. :(

Good karma & use pecision (slow mo) to hit their chest, then hammer the square button repeatedly.
Helps a lot upgrading the thunder drops blast radius.
Also much easier on 1st island as enemies are weaker.

Heheh, I beat the final boss on hard as a badguy faster than I did on normal as a good guy. It's not just because you're more powerful or also have Arc Lightning but in order to dodge that mini-shockwave Kessler does, you just have to press circle while you're locking on to roll sideways like a quickdodge. I forgot about that completely at first but it definitely works.

Yeah, same. tip --> Using roll and understanding to only shoot using triangle (on PS3) when he is kneeling makes it pretty easy.

There's quite a few things in this game harder than killing the final boss.

The train surfing trophy, some of the stunts and getting all the shards, for example.

Where was your last one?
Mine was a random shard on the power poles above the canal type bits.
Found it spamming L3 whilst grinding the rail lines.

Sequel (All but) confirmed by voice actor.:)

“First voiceover/motion capture audition today for a video game. Re-casting of Cole in the sequel of Infamous. "I'll melt your face." e.g” – David Sullivan via Twitter.

As of now, Sucker Punch hasn’t released any official confirmation that the game is development, but with the success the first title received on both the sales and reviews front, it would be hard to imagine a sequel not happening. With voice-over auditions currently going on, the game won’t be released or shown for quite some time. The question that will sit in the mind of gamers now will be when and where will Sony and Sucker Punch show off the inFamous sequel.

For anyone interested inFAMOUS is selling at $44 at JB Hi Fi, according to their catalogue. I'm gonna go pick up a copy for myself this weekend along with Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA 4 selling at just $40 at target.:thumbsu:
