That's right one and all, the Darkness Eternal new era phase has moved a step closer with renaming themselves Inferno Devils. Our homeground will be Hell's Kitchen after discussing it with a few members of the team. Along with this I would like to announce the leadership group for Season 2007.

One Dayers:

Vice Captain: Pie 4 Life
Deputy Vice Captain: Metallica Man


Tests:

Deputy Vice Captain: Stucey

So just to reiterate:

New Official Name: Inferno Devils

Why? It's team history. You didn't change teams such as the Big V to Victoria or the Southen Koalas to the Southern Sharks did you?

Nah, because TBV and The Vics merged to become Victoria and the Koalas are a different team to the Sharks.

The Crocodiles and Whitsunday Crocs are the same team, so they all have the abbreviation WSC.
 
Also, because it will be easier to sort by teams if it is all I.D and all WSC for overall records and head to head records if anyone asks for them.

must say though, the new name has all the hallmarks of a 10 year old inventing it:)
 
No offence Pie, but that is the ********test name I have ever heard of. Team 13 is probably just as bad.

You've either got to be an identity (ie The Allies, Team 13, The Devils etc), a location (Queenslander, Victoria) or you need a location and a title (Whitsunday Crocodiles, Kings Cross Crusaders).

You're trying to be the last one so where the f*ck is Inferno? I can't believe you've pissed the DE name down the toilet when all you had to do was slap a logo of the lead singer of the Darkness as your crest and your team would've already improved 100%. Stammy would've made this team a powerhouse.
