As much as people don't rate him, I honestly thought we missed him against collingwood, he runs quickly and directly, it would have cut out a lot of the over possession we played and our attacks would have been much more effective.

(he is my buddy)

hmmmmm, emo emu anyone???

yeah i'l put my hand up for that one, been hitting the VB all day while trying to figure out how I can watch the footy on saturday while still attend an engagement party for a good freind of mine....and all i've come up with involves a 2 zorro costumes (of which i have.....don't ask me why though:D) and a taxi

Emu, I have similar problems. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow and am a little dark that I shall be attending and not sitting in my usual seat at Subi.
Only just started on the booze but have three Coopers down and am thinking of ways I can terrorise my sister-in-law's new boyfriend, who I am meeting for the first time tonight.

Esti, follow the links you n00b

Is there any truth to the rumour that he has some kind of disease, which makes it difficult for him to put on weight. I've heard that he doesn't train much in the hot weather of preseason training, becasue he loses too many kg's. What's the disease and is there any evidence out there?

My bad, your link explains everything of course. Go easy on kiroshi - I'm guessing he's just a kid.

Have some posts mysteriously disappeared between post 2 and 3? Or is Emo just being even more random than usual?

VB rots your brain Emo. You might as well drink petrol.

Yes, it certainly is a nasty thing to have. A friend of my wife suffers from this, and she ain't getting around the ground at any great speed, I can assure you. I'm surprised that anyone with this disease would be able to play AFL footy.

Regarding Thornton, I think he is a fair way down the pecking order now. Prone to brain fades and dodgy handballs in traffic. Sure he has some dash, but I'd rather see Drum come into the side than Thornton.

Besides, wasn't Scotty Chis Connolly's love child? Therefore it was only fitting that Thornton's miss in the Kangaroos game last year should have hammered the final nail into Papa's coffin. :p

crohns disease sucks. a mate of mine has it. he either has acute constipation or he afraid to cough so he doesnt cack himself. courageous stuff from scotty playing with that.

i dont understand all the animosity i cop. this is half the problem with this club, everyone turns on each other the minute our team heads south. im confident we can turn things around and kick some ass this season. it all starts with the hawks this week. we will win.

It was just a few years back and Thornton used to get rather ill after each match. He would hide it from the coaching staff fearing he would be dropped from the team. It's being managed better these days.

I'm not sure how many of you made it down to pre-season training in the hot WA sun, but Tom Gleeson was actually training alongside Scotty too hotty. They were running around Fremantle oval squeeling as they both clenched tightly to a large McDonalds umbrella.

Maybe if you posted more relatively intelligent posts like this one you wouldn't cop it so much mate.

But some of the dribble you post on the main board achieves nothing other than to make Freo supporters look like idiots.

Hawk Lance 'Buddy' Franklin has been rushed to the pointy end of the plane with a possibly uncomfortable injury this morning after dislocating his pelvis and breaking his penile bone in three places.

Reports from medical staff at the club confirmed Franklin slipped on the plane to Perth while demonstrating to his team mates and other passengers what he was going to do to the Fremantle backline.

Franklin who sits atop the goal kicking table after round will not miss Hawthorn's clash with Fremantle on Saturday night in Perth, as the penile bone breakage only affects the first four inches and he put the pelvis back in place himself.

While sipping on champagne (non alcoholic) in the business class area, Franklin was quoted as saying "Not to worry, there's another eight inches still working, I'll nail those Freo backmen yet. The pelvis popped right back, those are some of my strongest muscles".

More rumours out of the Hawthorn camp suggests that Mark Williams will miss three weeks due to an incident at training when, while practicing his "rifle" celebration, he misfired and put a couple of shots through Jeff's gold jacket and was suspended internally by the club's leadership group and a very pissed off Mr Kennett.

Williams had promised the club's leadership group that he would put the rifle away until the club won a flag, and his unauthorised firing is said to have angered club officials, keen to keep a lid on things this year.

In other news, Jarryd Roughead is said to have fathered children in four seperate states all on the same night and, surprisingly none of them correlate to the state he was actually in at the time. The AFL has ordered an investigation under the new "Anti Negative Role Modelling Perception Rule", as outlined in their interactive multiple choice iPod presentation.

Unfortunately for Roughead, the fact it is all a lie is of no defence, he should nothave allowed himself to become the butt of a scurillious rumour to be spread by complete nuff nuffs on Big Footy.

No further comment was available from the club.

I am still trying to find a link between Thornton and emu. All this time I thought just because of his ghost like appearance it was a bit tongue in cheek that Thornton had to hide from the sun. It appears emus, Thornton and Chron's disease do have a link : emedicine aka emu medicine :

eMedicine - Hemorrhoids : Article by Scott C ThorntonScott C Thornton is a member of the following medical societies: American Society ... Ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease are associated with hemorrhoids. ...
