why would they drop Richie Cole? especially with Johnno getting a knock last week, we need toughness back there....and what you are recommending we bring in to the side wont give us tha toughness...

im hoping inferno isnt just pulling our leg, no longmuir would be great

We need to discipline our players, and Cole hasnt been consistent at all down back this year. Yes, i was mixing between he and yakka to be dropped - or just leave Heater out the side, because the fact he might have to play on farmer, but would love to see Swan out there aswell and he can play on jeffery.

fair enough LF50

im not convinced Swan could hold Framer, but hopefully he has had his one decent game for a while, and he goes back to mediocrity now :p seriously though, id much rather cole get another chance, and save Heath for the tigers

i live over here and its been raining for the last 3 days had floods all around perth around 250 mm of rain all through perth and will probably stay the same for the weekend if that gives you any kind of clue

No. It'll be fine and a maximum of about 28. Pretty warm for May.

Longmuir is still a 50:50 chance to play.

Should be a great game. Unfortunately due to an almost live telecast into WA, the V8 Supercars and Mothers Day, I don't think we'll quite get to 40,000.

Out: O'Bree, Cole, Lockyer and Presti
In: Richards, Lonie, Swan, Woey

No point letting Richards warm up for Williamstown when we need him now. Woey showed the right attitude after being dropped and deserves to come back in. Swan and Lonie are players with a few years under thier belts and need a chance to prove they belong on the list.

Cole has to go for a spell. He just turns the ball over too often. Not getting nearly enough from Lockyer and O'Bree, so give them the chance to do a Woey and lets see how they respond.

Can't believe you guys think Lockyer will be dropped, he always seem to have an aggressive approach on the footy & man....being an ex Geraldton boy, would the Pies trade him to WA in the off season....he always seems to start big games on the bench. (?)

Clement killed everyone at Subi Oval last year, played on Pav, Simmonds & Longmuir, was the only tallish bloke in your backline with Wakelin & Presti injured....saying that though, Freo will have a far different forward line come Sunday. Clement should start on Pav, but he's bulked up, is more aggressive & doesn't stop running at CHF, I don't think anyone can stop him at the moment. Wouldn't JCloke play on Pav....or doesn't he EVER play on another opponent?

If it were up to me, I'd make the deal today. Thing is, he's better in a better team. At the minute all of his weaknesses are exposed. He tries his guts out, that's for sure.

I wouldn't think the grandson of Colemann (James Walker) would return to Melbourne in a deal, he has played over 120 games consecutively & seems to have found his niche in the side. I'd trade Dunn for Lockyer in a second though.

My match ups as I see it from a Freo POV....

Parker on Tarrant
Haddrill on Travis Cloke
Walker on Caracella
Bell will tag Rhyce Shaw (he tagged Johnstone last week - killed him)
Morrison will tag Hasleby
Josh Carr on Licuria
Thornton on Didak (seems a mismatch, but Skinny Thornton has some real pace & his height will worry Didak if he lines up forward)
Clement on Pavlich (You have to play your defender on him)
Wakelin on McPharlin (good luck!!)
Cole on Farmer
Maxwell on Medhurst
Mundy on Fraser
Woewodin tag Matt Carr

Should be a cracker of a game!!!

It's funny that....everyone on these message boards from the eastern states rate Ryley Dunn very highly...but he has done bugga all over here.

Coventry/Colemann...whoops!!

Yes, I am very disappointed in Ryley Dunn. I rate him very highly, but it seems it just hasn't gone his way over there. Maybe trade bait at the end of the year due to the potential. Byron Schammer also was probably touted 2 years back but he has gone backwards. Disappointed in that also. Good to see Luke Webster in the team this year, despite the inconsistency.

For those able to watch the game on Fox Footy - will be interesting watching the youth of Fremantle.

I don't think Schammer has gone backwards as such, was excellent last season.... has just has had a poor start to this season after having no-preason and missing the first 2 games.

Dunn is taking a little longer to mature but showed in the pre-season that he should eventually become an AFL calibre player. It's only his 2nd year in the AFL.... some players take longer to come along than others but we can't judge them too harshly until they have been in the system for 3 years. I'm confident he will make it.
