It will be Lloydy's 250th and Ryder's 50th so we have something to play for. Should be a good game.

If I am not mistaken I remember when the dons beat us in the last game of 97 it was Harvey's last game and you guys werent traveling at all well then. What I am trying to say is that you lift for special occasions.

Geez if only there was another Crow player to play his 300th. Anyways its McLeods 301st game that special isnt it? LoL
 
The Crows have a lot of big units across the ground, so I don't think I'd like to see Magin out there.

If Lucas isn't fit I'd bring in Hooker for Michael (not because of form but because the crows are a bit light on for key forwards). We need a second target who is a bit more mobile than a resting ruckman.

I'd find room for JJ too if he pulls up well during the week.

No idea about the fitness of McVeigh, Pev, Atkinson...

If Knighter doesn't see Hooker as up to it, and Scotty isn't ready, what do you guys think, as one from left field, of Jay Nash at CHF. He's a big lad, and has a beautiful kick on him. He's not very popular at HBF, especially with Dempsey back in, and could nab a few. It'd be worth a shot.
 
Stage of the season we are at now Ramma and Mal will probably go. Hooker may get his chance. Obviously Lucas and Mcviegh if fit will come in

It might be worth a try, bit I think Hooker should be given first opportunity.
 
NLM's problem is his decision making which affects his consistency.

I am not only referring to disposal, but when to link up, when to support his team mates, when to attack the ball etc, when to play forward or behind his opponent etc.

NLM does win lots of the ball in defence and can win his own ball but often often has 2 or 3 fades in games.

I like the creativity of the thought but Jay just isn’t a good enough mark either on the lead or in a contested situation.

Sorry Basher I would have to disagree. For this week anyway.....

After the debacle that was Fletch's 250th V the Crows back in mid 2006 I want us to put together a strong 'senior' team to make sure we put up a great showing for Lloyds 250th. The Crows are eyeing a top 4 spot so they are going to be tough to beat regardless of their record against us or their lack of forwards.

In: Atkinson*, Lucus*, Pev*
*If fit

Out: Magin, Hocking**, Michael
** would rather drop Rama but that's not going to happen in his mates 250th, that would be a captain request I would think, particularly when Rama will be lucky to be on the list next year.

Quick question to everybody. Atkinson, worthy of a senior list spot?

IMO he has done enough and probably deserves an extended go, maybe elevate him and put Weeks on as a mid age Rookie??

ONTS Rama - game has passed him
Nash - needs to learn to be accountable
Magin - needs to put on 10kg
NLM - took the soft option too many times

Reimers - how far away is he, if he is right then he will come into the mix to come in as I dont know if all 4 of my ins will be right
 
I don't know. We have waited all year to get Hocking into the side and people are calling for him to be dropped after one game :confused:
I would have thought it would be benificial to have him play the last 3 games in preperation for next year.
 
How Hocking is expected to have a blistering game after the best part of the season away from the seniors is beyond me. And people are calling for him to be dropped? Come on guys pull your heads in. It was very pleasing to see Dempsey play well, hopefully he stays fit now for the majority of his career.

Play as many kids as possible, leave Magin, Hocking and Dempsey and rest the older legs such as Lucas, Pev and Michael. Perhaps the latter the time has come for him to give it up. The season is over so put them on ice for next year. Play Atkinson if fit, we need to see more of him, but personally i think his got the goods.
