Adelaide's difficulty in trade week is that neither the Bulldogs nor Melbourne are compelled to work a deal with the Crows.

The Bulldogs can claim Hudson - without compensation - with the fourth pick in the pre-season draft. Melbourne can do the same with Meesen with the No. 3 call in the pre-season draft.

Carlton, at No. 1, and Richmond, at No. 2, have declared they would pass up on Meesen and Hudson if they enter the draft as uncontracted players

This was an article in the Adelaide advertiser stating that we would not take Meesen or Hudson with our 1st PSD pick. Does this mean we must have it reserved for somebody else? I can't see any other reason why we wouldn't take one of two quality ruckman if we could get them for nothing.

i doubt it. richmond will take the best available player. at present, they're saying that they won't touch hudson or meeson, but if that's what's available don't won't hesitate in taking one of them. rich could do with a ruckman.

i've heard that mitch morton, paul haselby, cameron wood are on the tigers' radar

at this present time they may be talking to someone in particular i know many on this board beleive a certain melbourne midfielder is coming to tigerland but im still yet to see any proof so i guess its to early really to speculate on who we may pick up in that draft

Unless someone like Judd fell into the PSD, I'm sure we would look at Meesen. Also, they got the PSD selections all mixed up. We got the #1 and scum #2, not the other way around.

But more importantly, where does it say that RFC will, in all certainty, pass on Meeson in the PSD? Is there any official statement from the club, and if so, does anyone have the link?

Given our lack of Ruck depth, we would be mad to pass on a guy who was rated very highly in his draft year, despite his less than impressive career to date. If it was realy the case, we must have someone else 'locked in' already.

well they state that hudson has already agreed a deal with the dogs
so all that is needed is a trade

and messen has agreed to melb and another trade
hope adel dont want to much for messen has melb will trade heavy to get judd


im pretty sure tiges will do a trade to get morton from west coast
he has told them he wants to play for us
which leads to the fact that he knows the tiges have told his brother they will take him in the draft one would think

and if judd isnt in the PSD im pretty sure haselby will be our target as he is probaly the best thing on offer that hasnt signed yet other than judd
