I think someone missed a point half a dozen or so of us have made in here. Obviously if people have MET so many people from the net, then it's safe to say we ALL have social lives.

Or if you're someone like me who isn't really well enough to have a fully active social life, you do tend to spend more time talking to people on here. However I've met about 70% of my msn messenger list contacts. :) Some of them are the most funny and awesome people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, also proving wrong the theory that chat rooms are totally filled with desperate freaks. Maybe I just visit the right chat rooms, because 90% of the people in there are completely normal, they just turn on the 'freakiness' for the benefit of non-regs. ;)

As to what myself and my boyfriend get up to in real life, that's really our business. :p

however you want to justify it

Its not my scene, but if its someone elses, who am i to judge their lifestyle. I mean really its no one elses business but their own.

Quite amusing that you have a go at someone for a 'net relationship' when you met your own boyfriend off this board!

Each to their own. I don't have a problem with it. I've done it before, it didn't work out, but that had to do with general relationship things, not because it was a net relationship. Would I do it again? Dunno, maybe, maybe not. I had no problems with how the last one turned it, things happened as they happened, and I don't have a problem with that - it's the same with every other relationship that goes on. But I'm not going to discount some girl because she is off the net. I couldn't care less if I met a girl on the net, in a club, at work, at uni, or randomly on the street, if she likes me, and I like her, why not? Liking somebody is nothing to be ashamed of.

Again, I have to make a point.

You're on this board and you met egg boy! ;)

If I could go back 20 years (like Bill and Ted) I would have quickly slipped out myself and blocked his exit

Apparently it is something to be ashamed of if you dont pick up at a club every weekend

I had one extremely unfortunate and bitter experience from meeting off the net (and I have to add one very sweet one) so I have to say NO. Never again. I've made quite a few friends that I have met in person and continue to talk to via email, msn and "RL", and they are all very normal reasonable people.

The people I've met that turned out not to be very mature, or to be of an itelligence that make them actual lemmings (ie, believing crap, being ignorant, and generally happy to go along with what they hear, contrary to what they KNEW me to be...) I have no actual time for.

When I'm on here, what you read is pretty much what you get.

Very good to hear. Unfortunately one of them (not PC) claimed I was stalking him and turned out not to be so true blue. Probably my most baffling internet experience.

But oh well. We live and we learn I guess!

ps. And for the record, we all adore you! ;)

Obviously I am one of these people.

Worked well for me.

My mate thought he had the internet relationship happening. She came to meet him, did not like him coz he lied about everything about him, and I hooked up with her instead. Fast forward 8 years, and we are married with kids.
