For starters, worst display of footy by the Tigers for a few months.

65 clangers vs 35 says it all

The amount of times the ball was given away under no pressure was embarrassing, there are some Richmond players that play scared and are intimidated by Geelong

Its a lesson to learn

Win next week and the last two games of the season and it will be a good year, a bonus if we make the finals

Well done Newman, Moore, Mcguane, Thurstfield and Deledio and 1st 1/2 for Tuck
Foley, learn to shrug a tag, Tigers need your input

Man we weren't expecting to beat them realistically. It not that bad they are clearly the best team in the comp. Some positives out of the night like the young team. We do need a good tap ruckman though. No 198/9 cmer, more a 200cmer if you know what I mean.

But come on Tambling, White, Deledio and Edward alway showed signs as did Moore and Thursty. I look forward to next week and ill sleep well tonight (crown lager is very relaxing). Carn the Tiges!

I cant find any positives out of tonight. We were all of the mentioened adjectives and I think it shows we are miles off being anything

the positives were that our intensity was good enough to cause geelong issues - it was our skills that totally let us down.

the boys played out all four quarters and avoided a total smashing - but you gotta laugh at all those fools saying to sign wallace for another 3 years:rolleyes:

If you watch our earlier games i believe we were playing much better. We were applying great defensive pressure. This has dropped away a lot as the season has worn on.

Edwards was that one positive??? And what about Tamblings continued attack! Wasn't that one? Deledios marking abilities? Oh its great drinking you can find so many positive things in life:D

Geelong's pressure was and always is outstanding. Good learning experience for the boys, we matched them for the 1st quarter, but I'm sure we all knew it was just a matter of time before they kicked away.

Its hard to shake a tag if your getting held every 3 seconds and the umpires just letting it cruise.

when you are playing the best team in the comp by a mile,

we couldnt possibly expect to beat them they are awesome

we need to beat adelaide,melbourne,fremantle

i personally think we had a pretty good year i expected between 8-10 wins for the year.

we will step up a cog next year & hopefully we get a reasonable draw unlike 2008

Great team Geelong, we would have struggled tonight even if we played well.

However, our missed opportunities were vital. Imagine if we had slotted through a lot more of those early goals. Those misses are much more important against a side like Geelong as your scoring opportunities are somewhat limited anyway.

I was very, very frustrated watching tonight and I felt they were in awe of Geelong and this reflected in their play somewhat. There were some good signs, I thought Moore was excellent as well as Deledio.

Hopefully we will make a better account of ourselves next week. :thumbsu:

mcmahon, edwards and tambling were the worse culprits and turned it over regularly. the rucks were thrashed and the midfield got little ball, and i think patto needs to go back to coburg.

There were no positives.
Anybody that says there was, wasn't at the game.
Stopping the ****ing lying. You are making the situation worse.
Nobody deserved a vote.

Wise Up.

I think I was standing behind you. Were you the old feral that kept shouting at everyone to kick it down the ****ing middle until the Geelong supporter had a go at you for your language? Then you skulked away and took up position 10 metres further along and proceeded to annoy the people in that area?

No that wasn't me. I was the one doing the face painting.....Remember? I said you were a pretty little girl, and I loved the black & yellow ribbons in your hair. Were you happy with the whiskers I painted on your face?

Lol...Red Ranga....Getting a response from you and drawing you out of your hole is like leaving out a piece of smelly cheese on a Mouse Trap and finding a big old stupid, dumb mouse next morning......Just too easy. Too easy.

I'd never skulk away from you Ranga or your Geelong supporter mates. ;)

LOL

Funny comeback. Seriously though, I never expected us to win tonight. We played poorly (pretty much the whole team) but it could have been worse. I'm happy to take a few positives out of it and look ahead to next week. You should try doing the same for a change. Don't feel like you always have to be the grumpy guy. Have a drink and a smile and get on board with this young Tiger team. It's gonna be a great ride over the next few years.

Who did expect to win tonight? Not me. I went so I could see how we stacked up to Geelong in any Department. I was willing to look for an glimmer.
There were no positive benchmarks in tonights game. Be realistic. It was one of the few games where EVERYONE was average. I don't mind holding a box of chocolates up in the air and saying how lovely they are, but a piece of shit with a ribbon around it, still sticks.

I looked carefully to see if anyone was an equal or close to any other Geelong player. Also overall. Not with lying stats, but at the game.
Nobody was.
We have a lot of work to do.
No positives tonight.
So we move on to Adelaide.
A spade is a spade.

I remember us gettin bashed by brisbane when they were at their best, and the positives i saw then i saw from the tigers yesterday. I like the fact that you got good players coming up in all areas of the ground, particularly in your backline which i think will hold you in good form in years to come.

I really feel that in a year or two you mite be a AFL superpower, and with the style that you play it will be good to watch. So chin up tiger fans, you could be beatin Carlton in a GF sooner than you think. and wouldnt that be great to watch:D:D

Agreed. Richmond opened us up enough and deserved to do substantially more damage than they did, if that is any consolation. And in time their defense which is pretty inexperienced will get better.

Brown out really hurt you guys as he has more polish than any guy that played tonight (Geelong included) and would have been worth 3-4 goals at the least to Richmond. Really hope the tigers can make the eight and believe it is achievable. :thumbsu:

Classy posts guys. Just like your team. We're still a fair way off, but there are signs of improvement and hopefully we'll be challenging Geelong within a few years.

Don't be a **** Foley is getting smashed hopefully another strong pre-season will fix that.

And whoever said that skill errors were what destroyed us. Very true, although if we converted at a much better rate and hit more targets around the ground, Geelong still would have won. Our pressure only got worse after quarter time and I feel like Geelong could have went up a gear.

I enjoyed a few moments of the game but was a bit disapointed overall maybe because it blew out.

Brilliant posts by both Geelong supporters, sums up a fair bit I think.

thats because u suck the fattest choad i have ever seen. come on, we know we werent going to be the cats but at least get behind the boys and back em. we aren't as far off as u think we are, give it a season and we will be there in the mix, u just have no faith!~

you know the one thing i like is that cats fans arent w***ers like carlscum or the bummers. u guys played well and credit where its due, i hope we make the finals too but i can see ourselves finishing that dreaded 9th again lol.

The crows at AAMI was always going to be the lynchpin game. Nothing has changed. We maybe allowed ourselves dream a bit but we were never going to beat the cats and no one else will either. Win in Adelaide and we WILL make the 8. Lose and we won't.

AAMI is now an EF for us.

I like how we make a jumper to send to Polak. It illustrates our passion for the club and how we support the players. Well, some of us anyway.

Delibrate, I'm not sure why you actually do "support" the Tigers if all your into is player/gameplan/coach/supporter/financial/business bashing of the club.

Why? Why even come on here?

:thumbsd:

On and to quote you again, I think you summed yourself up beautifully:

Idiot remark...

You're a loser with a loser attitude.

You're a waste of space as a supporter,

Loser

:thumbsd:

I was saying this all last night at the game. We played scared because of who we were playing. We are at least 5 goals better than we played last night.
