Just got back from the ground... here's my report on what I saw:

Chris Judd - What else can you say. Unbelievable. He just gets better and better and was clearly B.O.G tonight. Had the ball on a string.... they said his footskills were his weakness.... well there is no weakness. He was just class with a capital C.

Macdougall 4 goals... played forward and looked really really good.... lead well... marked well.. kicked well....... in one contest he was pushed from behind off balance but still managed to take a strong mark when he looked out of the contest which had the 300 or so crowd gasping... Showed all the promise we thought he may have and personally I think he is our FF.

Beau Waters was played back on Daniel Chick.... obviously it was for education because Waters got the biggest spanking of his life.... Chick absolutely thrashed him in every way.... but you could just see that Woosha would have been loving every minute of it... Waters received a pretty good indication of whats required to play AFL.

Aaron Edwards - WOW.... I'd seen him play decent WAFL games but he was out of the box tonight..... looks class all over..... clean skills.... great mark... and silky... you can see he has a football brain as well. On the basis of how he played today he would just about get a call up.

David Wirrpunda - Got heaps of it... looks unbelievably fit and I cant believe how much weight he has lost.... seems to even have more speed and still has the clean skills and provided run off half back.

Chad Fletcher - Ball Magnet... just got it over and over again... and knows how to get it.

Mark Nicoski - hadnt seen a lot of him before tonight... but has one of the best left foots I have ever seen.... and regularly kicks over 50-60 metres.... Didnt do a hell of a lot... but what he does looks class.

Andrew Embley - Carrying on from last year... just got a heap of it... mobile and marking. looked good.

Michael Braun - Same as last year... got a fair bit of the ball.

Josh Wooden - Got heaps and heaps of the ball.... broke lines... looked very good... but it is pre-season... and he has a history of doing well when not under pressure... still he looked very good.

Mark Seaby - Didn't do a lot... Cox had the better of the rucking duel... Cox seems to have filled out.

Jakovich looked very good and fit as well... seems to have lost weight.

Brent Staker - played back in the first half..... did well... but when he went to the forward line in the 2nd half of the game... he oozed class.... in my opinion he is a born forward.

Ashley Sampi - Still looks overweight.... did a few good things... took one excellent mark in the forward pocket on the siren which he split straight through the goals from the boundary line..... but geez... standing next to Wirrpunda he looked fat.

Quentin Lynch - I had hoped his penchant for ducking his head had gone... unfortunately not.... way too many times he backed back for marks and put only 1 hand up to take them.... you would think if ever you are not going to get cleaned up its in a scratchmatch.... very very disappointing.

Paul Johnson - made a few nice leads at the beginning of the game but faded out almost completely.

Privileges of being a star and a captain? :D

Well, if Cuz agreed to get his wisdom teeth out just to miss the intra-club, then it's not much of a privilege ! :)

Gardy, I believe, should just be wrapped in cotton wool, bubble wrap and that corn starch packaging stuff until round 1.

does this mean that you'll go to a home & away game this year dannyG?

No probably not. I go to most pre-season games and scratchies... mainly because I don't get to watch them on tv... but when the real stuff starts.. I prefer to watch on tv.
