Well I actually have a use for this device.
All of my magazines are electronic, I have free WiFi in my place of work and I don't want another phone bill. It's perfect size for me to read my mags, watch some videos or browse the net on my lunch break and while traveling. And I can sync it with my iTunes and podcasts.

Just because you don't have a use for it doesn't mean it's irrelevant and useless. That's just your irrelevant and useless opinion....

In his defence, with all of those items you would be in an extreme minority.

Secondly, you would still get far better functionality with a Netbook for a more reasonable price. I'd suggest that is the main point...

So it's at least on par with a walkman.

So you want an overpriced magazine reader with wifi that can synch with iTunes and play music and movies... and are willing to pay big $$$ for something that cannot do anything else.

All of what you want... plus much, much more can be done using a Netbook, or most laptops for that matter.

As I mentioned earlier, I have these magic beans I'd like to sell you... seriously. PM me if interested, although I can tell you already are because they magical thus must be totally cool.

I can only think of a few basic things.

- Watch TV / movies on public transport on a bigger screen
- Read a book without having to go into a shop to physically buy a book
- Internet access without having to go all the way from your couch to your computer, your computer which probably supports flash of course.

More importantly

- Apple makes money

definitely all from hopelessly devoted fanboys who have to have anything mac at ridiculous prices.

better technology already out there doing the same thing better its called a netbook.
