iPhone 7

Wow. Just wow

While the 7 plus has some handy features (dual lens camera, 256gb storage) the iPhone 7 is really a so-so major upgrade. HD screen where the rivals have quad HD.

What are peoples thoughts on the lack of headphones? I think its a terrible decision. How can people listen to music and charge.... I hope the other manufacturers don't follow suit.

The Moto Z doesn't have one, I think it's way over blown an issue tbh. I hope more manufacturers do it as it'll only strengthen the need to either improve another standard (Bluetooth heaphones) or something new will crop up.. Either way people will adapt.

The Moto Z went down that path because it had to be as thin as possible (5.9mm, vs 7.1mm for the iPhone) so the expandable modules didn't make it insanely thick, it also flopped. I think the problem people have with the fact Apple did it is that it's unnecessary.

I'm sure it won't affect most Apple consumers, they'll happily use the adapter (and pay $20-$30 or so for the replacement when they lose it), or throw a wad of money on Beats or Bose gear, or buy an iPod. There are plenty of people out there who prefer wired audio because of the sound quality difference and convenience of not having another device to charge, if it became normal on phones it would just push me to buy an MP3 player, not "adapt" to using a shitty adapter (been there, done that, it shat me) or using overpriced bluetooth headphones that sound like arse.
