iphone battery issues

my iphone has only being going on average about 5 hours usage per full charge, basically charging it every day, its pretty annoying, just wanted to know what is the average you guys get out of a full charge? thanks

Mine usually drops down to less than 10% in the evening, and I leave it on charge on the bedside table overnight.

It's on Optus, so coverage is shit and it spends most of its time on 1 or 2 bars. I was in a dead spot for about four hours today and it was flat when I got home. The better the signal, the less power it has to pump out to talk to the cell tower.

If you turn off the 3G when you're not using it, apparently it saves heaps. I have to leave mine on for pages and emails.

Today I was browsing the net for a few hours on 3G with lowish signal. Absolutely destroyed my battery

I have a charger at work, next to my bed and in the car. I won't charge unless the battery is low and I can give it a decent charge (won't do just 5-10 mins in the car if I can avoid it).

Battery life is not great, there is no denying that. Google for ways to improve battery. Don't keep BT/WiFi on needlessly, set the brightness to an acceptable level, etc etc

Due to my room being a signal deadzone, I have the "Network Lost" message show up constanly overnight. It turns the screen on everytime the signal drops out so I end up waking up with significantly less battery than the night before.

I don't understand why I need to be told there is no signal when I'm not looking at the phone. If I need to use the phone and there's no signal, fantastic, tell me then.
The only way aroung it I have found is to turn on flight mode and this isn't desirable as I'll most likely forget to switch it back in the morning.

When I go to the footy I charge it up to 100%. I leave around 5:30 and get back after 11 and it's always in the red. And I don't even use it during te game. I think this is due to constantly trying to find a better signal when I'm on the train and on the net.

I have had times when it's struggled to last more than 4 hours.

Haha, I'm thinking the Nokia E71.

Seriously, I've tried Sony Ericcsons (absolutely shit, always fail), Motorola (omg, why did I bother) and LG but Nokias always seem to hold together and never break down I seem.
