I am having a problem with my ipod at the moment and was hoping someone could help me try to fix it or at least get an idea of what is wrong with it before forking out money on repair.

My ipod has simply just frozen and do not discount has come up, after it was connected to my computer. I couldn't safely disconnect it as computer didn't recognise it and even tried as far taking the usb cable out of the port then disconnecting the ipod from it.

Whats happened ?

Any ideas ?

does it need charging up?

No, I checked that it is fully charged up haven't used it since Friday. I am going to see what wrongs with that and it is under warranty so will see whats going on. Ned to send an e-mail to the place that I got it from.

No, it doesn't recognise but might need to restart the computer because ma running a temport account as the user account I normally use on here is buggered.

maybe you need to reset your ipod, that happened to me once when it froze during a song...

i think you hold the menu and middle button for 5 seconds then it restarts.

yep, hold the menu and play button together for a few seconds and it will reset the ipod. Same thing happened to me the first day I got it and i was really ********ed off.

I think it might be a bit more serioues than that, might have to send it away to apple and see what happens from there. Thanks kangaroo 19
