I swear if some gym goers played AFL at the Dome and sweated, they probably ask for the A/C to be turned on because its indoors. :drunk:
It does get pretty muggy in there sometimes

Round 1 against Sydney there 2 years ago, was a very humid 30 degree day, went to Highpoint to pick something up before the game then drove and parked around West/North Melbourne and walked to the ground (probably a bit over a km)

My hat couldn't cope once we got a seat, finally calmed down around quarter time.

Went to a pub on Spencer St after the game for a pint before jumping in the car around the corner, boy it wouldn't stop coming out of the brow again.

A good reason to wear a sweat absorbent flexifit cap most of the day tbf, them flat peaked caps don't do sh*t for sweat absorption.

In fairness if you only go to the gym a few times a year, you do want fans/AC/soft drinks/food while working out.

In America at Planet Fitness they serve Pizza. I think peternorth would appreciate that gym environment a lot more.

I seriously would change gyms if they offered free Pizza at the gym.
Wowee the judgement free zone, lel

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There was a guy today using the assisted pullup machine. It was literally like he was at a Royal Show ride.

No effort, but the bottom line is that he was having a lot of fun, going up and down.

See I would never train at a gym like that.

I know my rage, there is only so much I can tolerate. I have seen some absolute gems on youtube.

Lol, the lady knitting on the leg extension

About as bad as a couple of middle aged types reading while doing about 40rpm on the exercise bike

I'll watch the rest of that later, gotta eat

Went for a 6km sunset trundle, got home about an hour ago, had a shake, but time for tea before it's too late

Whats wrong with the old lady knitting? It reminded me of Crows home games. :$ :D

What really gets me, is if I saw a piece of equipment I had no idea to use, I would wait to see how others used it first.

Then again at Planet First, this would not be a good guide.

Brings up an interesting question. No one can really stop you from using the equipment in the way you want to use it. I mean there is no rule, if you are not damaging it.

TBH it really depends on the quality of the restaurant that is making it.

Good quality gourmet pizza is unfortunately my weakness.
Local independent mob. Going to them since mid 80s.

I can understand the allure of a cheap dominos however. Especially for say students on a tighter budget.

Well of course, thats why Maccas, KFC etc do well.

Its unfortunate that Pizza eaten regularly will cause weight gain. Its the only cheat meal I indulge in without guilt.

Bloody students!!

What if we put say capsicum, salmon, pineapple (to cover the fruit food group), spinach on it? Surely one could say it’s healthy

For decent budget woodfired pizza, Aghadeer on Sydney Road is elite

Think it's halal, but they do decent lamb and chicken options, don't really need your traditional Italian pork products

Just keep an eye out for this phenomenon.

You've been grinding for months with not much progress, no help from anyone - not a kindly word or even a friendly look of encouragement - and then suddenly you hit your stride and you experience a nice little growth spurt where your lifts are going up and you get tremendous pumpage in the biceps.

You know, there's a smile on your face and you get around the room with a bit of swagger.

And then the 'talkers' appear to annoy and interrupt you. Now they all want to ride on your coat tails.

Had a bloke latch onto me yesterday wanting to be best mates. If there's one thing I cannot abide by, it is excessive chatter in the gym.

If you let them, these people will stand in the middle of the gym and chew your ear off for half an hour.

The gym gods are trolls. Be wary.

The only time I f**k around at the gym is during my warm ups and cool downs. This is the time I dont mind chatting or taking it easy.

Otherwise headphones are on, full blast.

I make it obvious that I have headphones on too. :$

You thought I was joking. This is a "brother" from another mother. This is how I roll.

I put an end to that bullshit when I purchased a pair of Beats.

There was a guy that would love to tell me his life stories and things that happened to him years ago. Like I give a flying f**k.

If you want to bore me, tell me a story in under 60 seconds, otherwise Im Gone in 60 seconds to do my next set.
