Heard on SEN -Greg Denham that he's as good as gone to Carlton? I don't rate this journo just like many!
Anyone here know if this is definite? I haven't seen it anywhere else. Appreciate any info.

I thought this was done and dusted a couple of months ago.

Don't tell me the paper baggers have come back with a bigger bag?

Apparently.

It would be a disaster to lose him just before this year's trade/draft period.

Carlton celebrate getting Wright until they realise they used all total backroom-staff AFL-enforced budget on one man....

I hope he is. Good recruiter but I am sure there are a few others that are in the wings that are just as capable of stepping in if he goes. He has been better than the Pelican if you ask me.

If he does get an offer we could enforce he stay here as it is a similar position, not a higher position. Did we up our offer a couple of Months ago.

So it's still just speculation & here say? No one knows for sure?
Just over these stories & no the timing will not be good.

Seems a little strange, doesn't it? Why would we pay him so much to come over as a list manager? He's a recruiter, first and foremost. We already have one of those. Sounds like we'd be paying him a lot to choose who to delist. Hmmm... not sure if true.

I was listening to SEN but I dont think its was Denham who said this, it was a callers rumor so I doubt it carries much weight.

They would need someone like Wright there before they would be able to manage a deal to secure Wright. Maybe that is what they have done. Employed him to get the ball rollingon a deal to secure himself from hawthorn while he is at hawthorn and then hopefully the deals he is doing with hawthorn and good players will automatically happen at Carlton..............Then the lights came on and Mick Malthouse was first to speak. "I am sorry Mr Dank, that sort of bullshit might fly at essendon but we work with realistic ideas, we take a brown bag and we put cash in it, the player or coach tells us when to stop and at the end we tell Jeannie Pratt how big the media special has to be to show the world how much work he is doing for Visy for that money!"
