What are your thoughts on Hawkins love tap to Fritsch?

Will Match Review Officer Michael Christian investigate the incident? If guilty, is it a fine or suspension for Hawkins?

Here's the incident:

I'd riot of it was anything more than a fine. Absolutely laughable if he gets anything more than that. Still a joke if he gets a fine though.

If he gets a week, he should have just lined Fritsch up after he'd gotten rid of it, with no eye for the ball at all.

Umpire paid a free kick, but Hawkins wasn't reported, was he?
To me it looked like Hawkins was aiming for the chest, Fritsch lifted his head, which cops the hit. But Fritsch should go for staging, the way he carried on.

Shouldn’t but we all know he will cop 1 week.

Still, it's Hawkins + Geelong, so an example must be set.

Yeah, don't think there was a report in it. You'd have to be mental to report something as innocuous as that.

At any rate, I thought MRO findings were supposed to be released within 24 hours of the game, now?

Nothing on the MRP news on AFL website, not much in any of the newspapers either. So hopefully, Hawkins is clear.

the free kick was for holding I believe, not for the robust pat

I thought he was demonstrating good sportsmanship("ah good one there, mate") and gravity pulled his bulky palm down too quickly.

"we call upon our expert witness to show how gravity has a slightly larger affect at GMHBA stadium"

God AFL.com and Channel 7 did their absolute best to f*ck him.

Ling had to cajole Darcy ('It's a throw in if it's kicked into the behind post') to admit that there was nothing in it.

It's almost like they do it for fun half the time.

What about Gawn and his random free kick for tripping over Stewart? No mention of that at all.

Fine at worst unless the MRO / AFL decides this week that it needs to stamp out innocuous hits arising from frustration, even if the victim engaged in staging
