Advice please.

I am finding that my friends no longer want to go out and do stuff. They like having "a quiet" one, particularly if they are paired up. I am also finding that as I move along in life, the number of new people I meet is dropping off rapidly. Seems like people my age are less interested in meeting new people (I am in my late twenties).

Are the days of meeting new people and partying over? Is it time to stop farting around, buy a house in the burbs and find a nice girlie and have kiddies and all that?

Or am I just hanging around with the wrong people?

Regards,
G.

Move to Italy which has the lowest fertility rate in the World (<1), and one of the lowest marriage rates i.e. everyone bouncing around from bed to bed until their 40s.:o

??...good news for a guy / girl who wants to maintain the single life. Deserves a :)
Stats are true. Estimated population in 2050...10M, down from 60M.

That's an incredible decline in population, wonder what the Govts. in European countries such as Italy and Germany are going to do to try to halt their population decline, increased immigration

Be great if every country had the same declining rate.

I don't want to hear about the aging population, it's better than an unsustainable growth.

The aging population's OK for us because we're going to be the aged, suffer the poor buggers yet to be born who'll have to pay for us old fellas! :D

Then I trust you will never again complain about tax hikes to pay for all these oldies?

Way off the original topic:p

Not quite the case. They won't pay and we'll either be 70 year olds working at Maccas, or homeless and waiting to die.

Short term pain for long term gain.

In the economic short term it might be prudent to increase the population, but long term, the planet cannot support too many more people. More than 8 billion and things are getting to be a tight squeeze, even though technically there is enough resources to feed 8 billion parasites, greed and politics sees most of them go hungry. One of the three Rs definitely applies here: reduce.

Maccas are about to close another 175 stores. Need to look for another job. I will stand by the road with a sign "will drop pants and/or do crazy things old people do for $1.00"

Selfish bastards.

Selfish, boring bastards.

It's never over until you stop breathing.
Is it time to stop farting around, buy a house in the burbs and find a nice girlie and have kiddies and all that?
If you do it because everyone else is, then you'll be miserable. Do it when you feel ready, if you never feel ready, so be it. Who wants to wake up 15 years later next to someone they cant stand and brats who see you nothing more than a walking ATM and a free taxi. Yet many people choose this because of a fear of being alone.
Or am I just hanging around with the wrong people?
Yes.

1. Source please. Is that per person or per female or what?

2. You mentioned in another post Italy will have a population of 10million in 50 years. Please explain this how this is possible. Are you assuming NO immigration and a birthrate of 0, and that five sixths of Italy's population will die in 50 years?

3. If there is lots of bouncing around from bed to bed, I ain't involved in it. And if I ain't involved in it, I don't wanna know.

So yes....
