I have 3 teams

Although there is a clear distinction between them.

Carlton
Adelaide
Gold Coast

And that order won't change. Carlton are clearly no.1 and always will be. :thumbsu:
I was born in Adelaide and everyone in my family (bar my dad, who goes for Carlton) goes for Adelaide. So I have quite a strong emotional connection with them.
I live on the Gold Coast and they are my local team who I watch play every fortnight.

I don't see an issue with it as long as there is a genuine reason, as I believe I have.

If you just like a team because you like them well that's different. More artificial if that makes sense.

Unless you barrack for Hawthorn, the notion of supporting an AFL side is quite silly because you are going to have more lows than highs.

So I think having a second team is fine.

And besides, I think often the seocnd team is maybe a parent's side, isn't it?

Second team is okay in a 'I have a soft spot for them' kinda way, but if you're financially supporting them in any way then that's crossing a line.

I have a real soft spot for Richmond because it means I always have something worse to fall back on. Didn't stop me from going spare the day that Fev got held to one goal until time on in the second and then kicked another eight.

No, there is no such thing as a second team. If you do, then you don't really have a team to begin with.

Having said that, I base the rest on the level of hatred I have for them. I hate teams more than others and hence I cheer for the team I hate more to lose.

Dogs are inoffensive, hence I tend to hate other teams more.
