Branching out from the political hotbed of the song contest, comes this thread, which seeks to determine whether certain comments are racist or not.
For instance, if I were to say, "All African people are corrupt" it would be rightly considered racist. I've made a sweeping generalisation about an entire continent of people, ignoring a myriad of different nations and cultures. I've also made a value judgment on millions of people, calling into question their character.
Making a comment like that, in my opinion is decidedly racist, and I would never say such a thing. Feel free to call out other instances of racism here.
