I know this is a massive call, writing off a guy who has won 10 slams. But, his body is starting to let him down, due to his taxing game-style.

Furthermore, he has no answers against Novak, who blunts Nadal's strengths. Even Fed spanked him in London.

Have I gone way too early, or will Nadal struggle to win slams from now on- apart from the French?

imo its still too early

will still have dominance on the clay and didn't have that bad of a year by no means. novak had a ridiculous year but i still believe nadal was the 2nd best player in the world

still has 2-3 years me thinks

Too early to call.

Nadal seems to find his best in big tournaments and big matches.

But I think a fit Djoker will finish with more Slams than anyone in history

I love Djokovic as much as the next person, especially him being Serbian and me having Serbian background but you really think he has a shot at more than Federer? Federer already has 16 and I think he's going to win at least one possibly two more for the rest of his career. Djokovic would need to have another 5-6 years like he did in 2011 to come close to Federer's mark. Also factor in, Federer last won a Grand Slam at 28 (he's 30 now) which was the 09' Australian Open. Djokovic is 24 turning 25 in May. I think Djokovic should reach double figures and maybe even pass Nadal, but I don't think he beats Federer.

Djokovic has had one sensational year in his career, he would need to keep up this level of performance to even get close and it just wont happen. He is already showing signs of fatigue in his game after one year at the top

He's not finished, but we've seen the best of him. He may well add another French Open or two to his list of achievements, though that's probably as far as it goes.

Most of Nadal's non clay success came in the period after Fed contracted mononucleosis and before Djokovic discovered his coeliac problems. A healthy fit and motivated Nole should comfortably hold him on all surfaces save clay. Rafa is a fantastic fighter. He will remain a great force at RG and may well pinch another non clay but he will struggle to do more than that.

yeah nadal only won on the back of feds mono  Jesus christ, i wonder if you really believe the garbage that comes out of your mouth sometime. Feds F.O only came on the back of rafas injury.Otherwise he would never have won french.

People forget that Nadal has been on the tour for 11 years now. That's almost as long as Federer. (14)

So while he's chronologically quite young, he's been around for a while.

Nadals only problem is Novak Djokovic. He is far from finished and if Djokovic loses early in any of the slams he will win it

He should concentrate exclusively on the french

otherwise hes only got 2 years left on the circuit

The way he plays the amount of injuries he gets from the style of game he plays its a no brainer

I really don't understand the doom and gloom about Nadal.
Last night could've gone either way and was hardly a massive thrashing.
Nadal will win a slam or 2 this year. Mark my words!

I would be shocked if Nadal won two slams this year!

He pretty much had an aligning of the planets at this years AO and couldn't get past Djokovic. I reckon he is going to struggle to beat Murray on non-clay soon.

I wouldn't say he is finished because he's a champion, a mental giant, and he was just in a GS final, but I will say that we have seen the best of him and imo from now onwards he will have to get lucky to win a slam. Would love to see him play Djoker in the FO final this year.

I may be wrong, but I think he may be on the decline. I think we have seen his best and he will SLOWLY start slipping from now. Having said that im certain he will win the french open this year and can challenge for the others if things go his way. There is no way he is finished though and its very hard to right off someone like him.
