Is Nick raines worth drafting

Havent seen any of coburgs games, heard a bit about young Nick 21 yrs 178cm , is he worth drafting ...F/s or late pick?

Certainly looks worth drafting, I watched the game vs Port Melbourne. Looks like a good in and under player, makes very good use of the ball. I'd say he'd be worth a look.

Run of the mill midfielder. You'd expect a 22 year old to really cut-up the VFL, not just be solid. Foley for example was getting 30+ touches a game at that level.

thats a good point he'd need to be better than foley, he'll get his chance again

Never seen him but, have heard good things of him especially this week and could be a nice last round draft pick.

Rix is caught in that terrible spot where he is not tall enough to ruck, and is too big an slow for fullback or CHB. Sav Rocca was the perfect opponent for him but there aren't too many like him anymore. At 24 his chance has passed him by.

I saw him play in that Port Melbourne game too, looks a real goer. A Raines Dynasty at punt road would be better than the JOKE (oops i meant cloke) debarcle at the skunks.

He played at the Port Magpies last year. Threw a tantrum and quit halfway thru the year because him and his daddy (just as bad as David Cloke) expected him to be a topline no.1 midfielder at our club but struggled to get in the league side. Arrogant and quite simply not that good.

I wouldnt waste a draft pick and $30k on him.
