Waits for opposition trolls to commence field day

ARGH. One of the blokes on the superfooty podcast has just tipped us for the four at season's end.

Based on 2011-2012: THAT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED. :drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:

Not convinced our window is open, we are where we are because of a simple draw (so far). Will assess at the end of the year, we still need an explosive mid.

I think it's seemed simpler than it looked before the season started, if we use last years performances. Dogs was a game we should have won, but games against Port away, Cats at home, Essendon, & even GC looked 50/50 at best before the season started. We've been lucky that those sides haven't backed it up this year. On the other hand we have steadily improved from last year too, so it goes both ways.

I also thought that way about 2008, didn't quite go to plan though.
I've got a second pattern with my birthday being 24/6/71, my flawed logic is premierships in 92, 94, 06, and 7+1=8 (for 2018). I may just be the lucky charm, either that or we won't win another until 2108 :drunk:

To the OP, No...Not yet. We are close though

Its opening now but more a building confidence in each other and the game-plan year .To be a contender Wce still need Emac and Brown back which will free up Magovern and Yeo to be match winners .

It is funny how we are talking about windows when a lot of pundits and this forum were saying we have a shit list and wouldn't make the finals for years, our drafting has been horrible etc etc. I was never overly confident but I didn't think our list was that bad. One gun midfielder short (maybe that is yeo) and a crumbing forward and some extra pace(enter wellingham and shepherd). Having a fit and in form Nic and wellingham, the emergence of yeo, sheed and continued improvement of shepherd and gaff, cripps has really improved our side. We will still have some losses to the top and middle sides because e we are not quite there yet (especially away) but you can see where simmo is trying to head There is still a necessity for the foot soldiers in selwood and priddis but the key is to get it in the hands of the better ball users like lecras, shuey, yeo, shepherd hurn wellingham duggan et al. Now it is harder to name the ball butchers where as before they were plentiful.

No such thing as premiership windows. We are in contention in 2015 until we aren't and at the moment we're better placed than 15 other teams out there. You can't predict where we'll stand next year.

I don't see any team apart from Sydney that really scares the pants off me. That's not to say that we will beat a Fremantle or Hawthorn come finals time, only that we're capable.

If we are to challenge this year id like Simpson to keep on trying new things in an effort to uncover some more talent.

I think we still have heaps of upside more so than any of the other contenders going forward into the next few years. Probably WCE, Sydney,GWS,Collingwood and the Bulldogs have the best lists going forward and Gold Coast if they can get their shit together
