i am an extremely optimistic and loyal supporter but i feel compelled to say this

fevola will be rubbed out for a few weeks, and with him out, we have noone to kick our goals. we will then be too far back to go forward.

come the end of the year, fevola will be out of contract. he is demanding a large amount, something which he doesnt deserve as was shown by yesterdays performance especially, let alone this whole year bar the wizzer cup. he will then demand a trade-we will not get as much for him as his value will decrease dramatically every time he plays like that, or doesnt play at all. fevola is the only player on the list whom we simply cannot cover for effectively

we are really struggling with the restraints put on us by the afl...most of our kids are simply not up to the task.

i am expecting a massive cleanout at the end of the season.

ive also lost my faith in denis as i think he is a large part of the problem-his game plan is way too predictable for the opposition. he keeps on claiming we were outplayed. i think we were also outcoached. yes, he has done some magical things for the club, but its just not workingfor us at the moment.

this is something i really feel sad about, im really dtruggling when i think about the rest of this year and the next.

with all that said however, i do hope that the boys can prove me wrong on this one

I dont think its over, but i still think we won't make the finals. We didn't play that bad yesterday its just that the kicking let us down. We should stop making these kind of Threads after every loss. I think we can play better without Fev in the fwd line. We only pass to him and no other forward. We should be able to win Hawthorn because they are a young team which may cause inconsistency, and a big difference between the good Hawthorn and the bad. IMO Waite was the best player yesterday because he is a TEAM player, and goes at every contest, applies pressure and gives his all for the club.

he and barnaby have been the biggest positives this year imo ...

he looks better everytime ive seen him this year ...

this year is over imo ... but to be honest it doesnt really bother me ... what i want to see is a platform we can build on ... number one was improve our skills pace i think we've done that ... second is prevent blow outs ... last year or the year before we woulda got beaten but 100 points when freo got that run in the 2nd term.

i think dennis has been a godsend ... but we need to develop a better fwd structure imo ... bombing it in there isnt working ... what i like is hawthorns structure of having williams (we could use fev) bursting out of the square with an open fwd 50.

fev is a leading fwd ... rarely takes a pack mark ... so i think dennis needs to concentrate when we get the ball wing to half fwd we need to be more carefull and not just bomb it in ... it seems we get it in there heaps but it just gets rebounded straight out.

EXACTLY! Fev is shi.t one on one, but on a lead he is so hard to stop. But our forward line is always so crowded. We bomb the ball almost every time we go into 50, and it comes right back out.

We need to clear out our foward line and play Fev and someone else deep inside 50, and get our other players to kick out in front so Fev can lead onto the ball, rather than get beat overhead.

Hawthorn although true has a massive differance between good and bad, they have played well in the last 3 weeks.

Should be a cracker could be a 5-10 point either way game

We need more crumbers and opprtunists to avoid the rebounds when Fev always stuffs it...Eddie has shown promise and we need more skilled crumbers like that to support Fev and Larnce when they always stuff up..DeLuca is useless and Lapps has too much work to do in defence and across the midfield.

JUSTIN DAVIES should be doing that but is fooken hopeless..That guy makes Troy Schwarze look classy. The guy is truly amateurs class.

Isn't it obvious that this is NOT what Denis wants them to do?
We have NO ONE who can take a contested mark.

Why then would Denis instruct them to bomb it long.

Our delivery into the forward zones has been to put it bluntly pathetic.

It's all very well for fans to berate Fev and Red but what hope have they got when most of the balls come way above head height or at their feet making it all too easy for the opposition defenders to spoil.

It's about time the midfield were made more accountable for their delivery skills.

It's fine to put in a long ball,it means the forwards have the advantage as they are leading to the ball and the defender has to try and spoil wothout giving a free kick away, but they need to make sure its long and low and at the target not just a kick up in the air hoping someone pulls down a contested mark.
