I really feel for this guy having this still hang over his head all these years later. So terrible. His victims, well they all recovered and moved on with their lives but Barry is the one I feel most compassion for in this scenario

I just find it so unfair how a more talented player in Fevola got the boot because of off-field issues when a player like Barry Hall who was a vicious campaigner never got the same treatment.

Rubbish Fevola got punted because he was on big money , couldn't get near it on the field and was carrying on like a goose , breaking team rules like it was all a big joke.
Say what you like about Barry his value to whatever team he played for was unquestionable

Wouldn't call it a coward punch, but it was certainly a sucker punch. No way that Staker could have seen it coming and it's an act that would have had him charged for physical assault had it not been on a footy field.

One of the dirtiest acts I've witnessed on a footy field. I have no sympathy for Hall. I'm glad that it bothers him still. It should bother anyone with half a conscience.

a coward's punch is one that someone doesn't or shouldn't expect... so, YES, it most definitely was a coward's punch
