With all the talk on Mags and QT being banned from BigFooty, I thought I would voice my opinion.

I observed what took place lastnight in the chat room and I made an effort to keep out of it mainly because I did not want to get involved in something that did not concern or affect me greatly. However, at times I found the need to speak out and defend the people who were being attacked for their "alleged" comments.

The way in which the people in question were spoken to by a moderator of this site disgusted me. How on earth do moderators expect the younger people on bigfooty to tone down in the chat room when there are personal attacks against them by moderators whom we assume are on power trips????

I realise for the site to run efficiently that moderators need to be put in place, but they also need to learn respect for other people, and until they learn to do so, more trouble can be expected.

After all, you wouldnt sit back and accept personal attacks against yourself would you??????? So why should QT and Mags??????

Bigfooty is an internet site. If it means so much to you, you need help.

We are only users on this site. Like the opinion of a dozen people is going to make much difference.

They've been banned/suspended, whatever. Get on with life...

This is by no means directed at you prized bitch, but at all the people winging at the moment.

Like Visro said, this is an internet site, so I'm not really that fussed. However, I can't sit back and watched people be kicked off a website for some silly reason.

I was in chat last night, and in passing conversation mentioned I didn't like Phillapoussis (s/p?). Oooh woop de do. We've had a big long thread on the guy, so I'm sure the reasons for likes and dislikes are well explained in there.

Yet this was taken out of context and used against myself and others. I find this offensive, especially seeing as it was done by a moderator.

Anyhoo, until this mess blows over, I ain't wasting my time with people who have nothing better to do that sit around dobbing on others.

I was in chat last night and when i got in, the insults were flying from both sides of the fence! it wasnt just mags and qt that were dishing it out.
Bit rough banning them i reckon, especially if it was just over an argument? If thats the case, u should ban the lot of us, because we've all had arguments with one another...

Look at Rohan and Hitman for instance...(sorry guys, but your the perfect example) they're always at each others throats, and because hitman is loved by many on this site, everyone rushes to his defence and starts a big war against Rohan.
...yet theres been no banning!

Anyway, theres no use in US commenting, because its Blueys site, and let him run it...but Bluey, in fairness, u werent there, and im 99% sure you've only heard one side of the story....correct?

Well Macca you should e-mail us about it. Collect the evidence, present it and it will be acted upon.

If moderators are misbehaving, present that evidence.

One was for a while but it musn't have been at the right time.
As a more senior member, you could send a PM to any mods that are online.

Macca, I am in chat most nights and the problem with a few 'newbies' is that they don't have registered names that can be booted. Some old hands have found a back door into chat and are taking advantage.

Now, I attempt to be fairminded to all around here and for the most part get on with all parties concerned here but I suggest that you not be drawn into speculating based on what you read from others. It doesn't necessarily help the situation and for one, I'm offended for anyone to suggest that I as a moderator play favourites. I just wish everyone would clean up their act a little, enjoy themselves but above all, stop believing that they have to be so damn controversial all of the time. The funny thing is that people want to be so unreasonably outspoken to stand out from the crowd and yet the majority of the crowd are doing the same thing so now they all look like a massive clicque incapable of independent thought.

I believe that if everybody on here divulged proof that they had of behaviour worthy of banning, the site would be torn in two. Some people have declared this as their intention whereas the ones who do not want to bring the site down are choosing to bite their tongue.

Geez, the stories I could tell .... but then I would be accused of having vendettas or being a 'dobber' and my opinion would never be welcome here again. To tell you the truth, if this pattern continues and people are not willing to admit their fault in some of these matters, the site may as well make themselves exclusive as it is getting so far away from where it was intended to be.

It is all so depressing.
