Well they got rid of the only male that had an opinion last week and now they get rid of the only female that has an opinion this week. Either the show is rigged, or Australia is one s**t boring place.

Of course the show isn't rigged.
It is in the best interests of the producers to listen to the phone voters, because they are the viewers, who equal ratings. Rigging the votes would mean NOT giving the viewers what they want.
Leaving Shannon in the house (who the public wanted out) should theoretically mean a drop in ratings, because the viewers don't like her. If the viewers say Shannon goes, then those viewers (who ARE the ratings) MUST be listened to.
Having said that, I can't believe Turkan didn't go. She WANTS to go, people. Didn't the people who voted for Shannon realise this?

Notice how the strong personalities always get voted out?
Last year, Andy - who wanted to shag every male in the house - was gone in the first week. Non-threatening males like Ben and Blain survived till the end. More threatening people like Gordon and Todd were voted out.
This year, Damain was gone first, followed by Katrina, and Aaron. All were outspoken personalities.
Alex will last, because he doesn't say much, and is non-threatening to the large female population. Keiran is similar. He comes across as a genuine nice guy, who doesn't have an "out-there" personality. Peter is in the same boat. Marty will last, because he comes across as your down-to-earth bloke. His missus, Jess, will go because she has that over-the-top personality.
Nicole has no chance, and Nathan will not survive to the end, either. He is too "different."
I actually really like Turkan... why does everyone hate her? Is it because she's actually one of the genuine people in the house that is NICE? Can't people handle people in the house being nice and friendly?

My 10 year old cousin loved her! It was quite bizarre. She was immature, acted like a kid, and the Primary-School students loved her for it.
Thus year, there is no one in the house who has the same appeal to the pre-teenage viewers, so if you have a strong personality this time, you will be gone.

Not overly into bigbrother certainly less than the last one but watched the eviction tonite and from what i have seen that Alex Mirabai and Jessica i think it is? have no personalities really. The one who left tonite seems a very confident women and would make the others feel threatened because of her strong values. I wonder if the men in the house will vote Marty out because they feel threatened by him as he is obviously the looker of the house apart from Aaron who seemed to take the **** out of the whole situation a bit and i reckon the producers woulda been quite upset at this. Turkan and as much as i hate him that ****y type guy seem to be the only real strong characters out of the bunch now. What is with Marty too doesn't he have a girlfriend? my god the snippets they showed tonite, imagine his girlfriend watchin him fallin in love with that other chick if i were her i would cut his **** off when he gets outta there! IMO Macca, Aaron deservedly got voted out because he was a w*nker (and I say this even though he is a Pie supporter!
).Shannon got voted out this week, because she was up against people who had been up before and against Peter who has the personality equivalent of sucking on a lemon, but is not disliked for whatever reason.
Shannon, who is f*cken beautiful when the TV is on mute, was the victim of the female viewers this week. Most blokes wouldn't want her out when there is a Turkan in there, but we have to suffer because of Shannon's dominance, which p*sses other females off!
I would have rather seen the Turkey, Peter or Alex voted out. Or even Mirabai!!

I am rapt that Shannon was voted out! Good choice, Australia!!! She was loud, obnoxious, arrogant and annoying (THAT VOICE!) But I didn't think she'd be the one to go - I thought it would be Turkan, because all the focus during the week was on her and the others were virtually ignored. As my friend said, Australians must be pretty cruel people, keeping Turkan in the house when we all know she wants to go!
