What are everyone's thoughts on Ivan Maric ?

He's from my local area and several people have said he has the goods to develop into a good ruckman at AFL level.

Does anyone known how he went for Port Magpies in the SANFL over the weekend, as didn't see his name in Inside Football ?

He is playing reserves for Port Magpies. Had knee tendonitis pre-season which has slowed down his preperation.

He's got a very good build, which is definitely a good start for a ruckman.

However, he is also rather new to game, having come from the background of basketball. Fortunately he has adapted well.

He is a good mark, has good athleticism and pace for his size, is capable of kicking bags of goals and is quite versitile.

Throughout last year he played for the Calder Cannons in a FF/Ruck role. When he makes his debut (most likely next year) he will most likely be tried in the forward line, which is no problem as he is well suited to this area.

In time he could become a very good ruckman. Therefore his ability to play both forward and as a ruckman will be VERY helpful.

I'm actually from Sunbury, which is part of the Calder Cannons development region. Don't play, but do the stats with Werribee in the VFL.

My home club is Rupertswood FC.
