I know this sounds horrible but I kinda like the New Port side (The one that played towards the end of this year) The only reasons i disliked Port were: Carr, Hardwick, P. Burgoyne, Tredera, Wanganeen and Pickett and they were all not playing for them but players like Pearce, Lade, S. Burgoyne, Bentley and Chaplin I actually enjoy watching play and they don't make me want to throw stuff at the tv and yes Pearce does remind me of early Macca.

That's one way of looking at it.....another is they (especially Meesen) have not intention of staying beyond 1 more year - and are in fact hoping that game time in 2007 creates more interest back home.

yep, that's exactly what I want. You have to weigh up the risk. Do you risk continuing with a very average 29-30 year old ruckman with limited ability and possibly lose a future 1st tier young ruckman.

And yet another way of looking at it, you’re wrong. Meesen was offered a substantial contract from a Victorian side, and yet he knocked it back. What does that tell you? He wanted to stay in Adelaide, and all he wants is an opportunity to play for the Crows.

and yet another way of looking at it is the AFC offered him a 2 or 3 year deal and he refused.....only wanting to sign for 1 year.
