Kobe is the greatest basketball player on the planet on the moment and I think it is fair to compare him to MJ. People dismiss these claims due to Kobe's field goal percentage and assists and so forth, but the game is changing.

I hate the guy with a passion and wished he didn't wear the royal colours, but even I have to admit there is no one better in the league at the moment than Kobe Bryant. I don't think there are too many 'experts' who would disagree with me either. LeBron may in time be considered better, but at the moment Kobe has no peer.
And to compare Iverson with Bryant is like comparing Longley and Chamberlain. It is not a comparison, it's an embarrasment, even if Longley has more championship rings (and that's a tragedy).

I'm shattered to think that one day #24 is going to be hanging from the rafters at the Staples Centre alongside #32, #33, #42, #13, #22, #25 & #44. Shattered.

im pretty sure iverson will go down as a better player than kobe for these reasons:
AI draft pick 1 - kobe 13
career points average- iverson 27-30 - kobe 24ish
mvps: iverson 1 -kobe 0
iverson led a team to the finals kobe got there with shaq and has done nothing since he left.
iverson makes players around him better, not saying kobe doesnt but nuggets with iverson are so much superior to nuggets with miller he made an alright team an excellent team.
kobe may be better when the game is on the line but i think iverson is the greater player and at only 6"1 its difficult to make your mark
