I think this trade personally is a piece of sporting brilliance. Even better that we got an amazing leader, and team man along with it.

My reasoning behind this is. Kennedy was really close to a couple of boys at our club, especially Waite. Him being traded really starts to shake a few things up.
1. It's no longer about the individual, the team is ultimately #1
2. You are playing for you career now, it's no longer acceptable for us to be mediocre. This is your future, prove you should wear the blue jersey.

Look at the boys this year, they are playing much better football, much harder and giving 100% rather than the mediocre stuff of the past.

I dont think Kennedy being traded was due to not pulling his weight, He was good currency which we didnt want to part with but had to, you cant buy a Rolls Royce with silver coins...

But, If JB becomes avalible, there will be a few nervous people at PP

Stop smoking dude.

Firstly, this thread is 3/4 a year late.

With Kennedy being traded are you suggesting that Waite is playing better now?

I think your looking at the inverse. Mate, we have Judd as our captain and Nick stevens is Vice Captain. These are two far greater reasons we are playing better as a whole this year, NOTHING to do with Kennedy.

I really do hope that we go after Kennedy in the future, but Eagles will see that Carlton has an emotional attachment to him and will demand much more - so i dont ever see it happening im afraid.

Get over it , has been done to death shutup already

It basically came down to a choice between Matty Kruezer and JK. While it would have been great to keep JK, Kruezer can do what JK does plus a whole lot more. It was a very tough decision by the Club, but it was the right one. :)

Is it a piece of 'sporting brilliance' because you now have a gaping hole at CHF?
You certainly have come out on top at this stage from the trade but dont go over the top.

..and where will you lot be in 2 years when Lloyd, Lucas and Feltcher are gone? At least the draft will give youse hope!

..just coz you beat us twice this year doesn't mean your team is good!

Get outta here you arrogant, jerkoff Essendon scum before I give you a Sheedy-esque 'fair' thumping!!

Gee you're still a little bitter over Judd rejecting your coachless basket case of a Club last year aren't you. lol. Can you blame him? Edwards, Hartlett and Kruezer will be rotating through the CHF spot - so hardly a "hole". A hole occurs when you have 3, 30 years old and olders occupying KP forward and defensive spots on your list e.g. Lloyd, Fletcher and Lucus. What a mess. :)

It's the same gaping hole that was there last year when JK was on our list. Not much has changed, it's just become more obvious due to most of our other gaping holes having been filled.

It's going to be fun watching the fissures in your list crack open over the next few years.
