To me it looked more like he missed it than pulled out of the contest. He didn't look and then he kept going, where's the squib? His normal idiotic antics irritate me as much as anyone but all these people gleefully screaming cowardice every time someone drops a mark under, or going back with the flight of, the ball I find a bit distasteful (and I've seen it a bit a few times directed at our own players). I think its keyboard warriorish.
Maybe the thought of contact caused the skill error, just like the thought of failure was what caused Sheridan's skill error to Rioli's benefit last year, but that's not pulling out. If you pull out by definition you're not there to f*ck up!
I find many people general attitude on this depressing. We are told from the moment we are old enough to understand what it means, repeatedly, in both our real lives and popular culture, that true courage is carrying through with something despite being afraid. Apparently, don't let it cause you to stuff up that thing up though! Then it turns out everyone really just wanted people to be idiots with no sense of fear afterall...

Mate he shit his pants. Clear as day

He totally shat his dacks but I found his previous two incidents funnier. The one where he went to play on luls and the one where he held his hand to his ear to feign a head high free kick. What a pathetic, soft campaigner.

Good forward capable of kicking goals etc but far out he's so soft. Why doesn't he model himself to be like Kennedy who I've never seen try and milk free kicks like Darling does.

Soft or not he's better than any KPF we have. I'd take him in a heartbeat. 24 years old, 40+ 3 seasons in a row, absolute gun of a player, but he shys away from a hard knock so we're too good for him? Get a grip.

Ballas - Darling; straight swap. I find that fair. We've got a soft but potentially our #1 KPF, longer contract on more money ... They get a heart n soul player (which they lack), less years and less money.

I still think he will be part of a trade for Lobb.

Or a replacement for McCarthy and or Johnson? Paton and Cameron make GWS's fwd line a tall option, add Darling and that's the start of a really tall forward line.
