He said or made comment a while ago that he would only play for Balmain, not West Tigers. Make of that what you will.
Rugby league does not have any sort of father son type progression, shame really as it is a wonderful concept and can only but benefit a sport.

I know the Jacks, and when asked by a reporter Gary said that Keiran "would have made a good league player", not that he was going to switch. Journalistic licence strikes again!
