Why on earth would we not want him, if we can get him and fit him in our cap.

Yeah we are getting Darcy Moore but if we are expecting him to play more than 6-10 games next year we are kidding ourselves. We have the cap room and we should use it.

Well I think Riewoldt would be on a Very Good Wage and he has won the Leading Goal Kicking in the AFL but he can also be a Distraction like when the Media was Chasing him to the Train Station.

So can we deal with that sort of Stuff?

Personality wise, I hate the bloke. In fact I cringe everytime I see his ugly mug on TV. That assessment is from what I have seen of him on TV and the way he acts when he plays football. For what I know, he could be one of the best guys off the field.

I know a former interchange steward who described has a ******* when he goes on and off the ground but at the end of the day he will improve our on field performance more than Lynch and White will ever do.

I don't rate him as a superstar as most Richmond fans would describe him because they have hardly seen a half decent player in the last 20 years but he is a very good footballer. Wouldn't give him more than 500 000-600 000 a year and I think he would be an idiot to leave the club that developed him for that.

This has had me mesmerized for the past 20min. I cant work out at what point it actually loops.

The point is that there is no loop. Does that blow your mind?

LOL..just LOL....Jack is Richmond forever.

What shit?
I think it's his body language on the field. His gestures to players who didn't kick it to him.
His constant angst with umpires. Cracks the shits & it affects his game.
Richmond nearly dropped him a few weeks back....then he suddenly lifted when under the pump.
When he is on, he's a very good avenue to goal.

Last thing you want at your club is success in September, isn't it.
Unfortunately for them, I think it's the FIRST thing they want lol.

If i was in charge, would be simple. Take a pay cut, and accept that your playing a third tall most of the time. His fitness would be put to use, as he would be expected to play up ground when required.

I wouldn't compromise. But then again, I want Frawley. I feel he will suit multiple needs for an acceptable pay.

Would make us a better side so would take him in a heart beat. But would not sell the farm for him. I would take anyone who will make us a better side as long as it's on our terms( price ,player we might have to give away, length of contract). Once the black and White jumper I pulled on they are one of us. No matter how big of a dick they are in their current club.

I initially thought no but the more I think the more I like the idea...

Stick Clokey at CHF and let him bomb it to Jack. Just a thought though he'd go off his head once he starts getting the delivery we provide around his bootlaces, over his head, etc

In terms of how would it happen, we've seen Bucks make tough calls so I wouldn't be surprised if Nate Brown is on the cards (for something if not this)! Pretty sure he's under contract but if others are preferred he's not going to want to play VFL too often

What does he do well?

Too slow to get off most defenders on the lead.

Not big enough to hold his position in a contest, so he needs a running jump, defenders know this and block his run.

Not overly good below his knees.

Unable to play with any impact up the ground.

All up, he is a good solid AFL footballer, not the type you pay big bucks to.

He kicks goals pretty well

Good key forwards don't tend to change clubs very much ... consider how Collingwood held on to Cloke in the end. Jack signed on again with us probably for unders and turned down Freo for much more money who unlike Collingwood and Richmond are right now in their premiership window (I mean in this year and next year). Good midfielders can sometimes be poached young, good key position players and rucks often develop around 23 or 24 and by then everyone knows they are guns and they are often well established with their clubs, love their clubs and team mates, and are near untouchable because they are so scarce.

I do think Jack does love the Tigers even though for him it has not always smooth sailing. For our part I don't think we could replace him, there are probably only 3 or 4 other key forwards playing who are directly comparable, (don't waste time shooting him down, his Colemans speak for themselves and in a team which gave him limited opportunities in those years. He is also an excellent defensive key forward for us who takes the best 1 and sometimes 2 backmen every game, no club would hesitate in picking him up if he was available)

For all of us I think we just have to work on patiently developing our own young big forwards knowing some will be succeed and many will fail; this and watch for the continued bleeding of quality youngsters from Gold Coast and GWS. For 5 years those 2 claimed every good first round big man in the draft (except father son) and most of the best midfielders, in the end they will not be able to hold on to them all. They wont want to hold on to them all. Both clubs now have a mixture of brilliant individuals but are still far from building cohesive outstanding teams. They lack those good ordinary players (take a bow Jake King) who are often the ones which bind a team.

Richmond still want and need Jack therefore he will stay.
