Because it will never be solved it is such a fascinating case. Read quite a few books on the topic and I don't really hold Maybrick up as a serious subject. Although you might and that's what makes it brilliant

I always liked the theory put forth by a couple of scholars that JTR was in fact a woman who lost her shit because she could not naturally carry her own children, and ripped out the wombs of other women as a result.
