"Nose beer" is actually an apt description for drugs in this context. Wakey wakey, it's the game's demands which have steered the players in this direction.

This type of behaviour, imo, qualifies as domestic violence. I hope he applies for & is granted protection under the legislation.

yeah i remember the article. there's some statistic that 75% of nfl players divorce within 2 years of their career finishing. its not about love, its about benefit. the difference is women can if they are still relatively young, find someone to take them. also represents the different phase of life the women move into: have fun with the hot famous sexy afl player with status then settle for the provider so she gets the lifestyle she wants. nice soft landing.

Also, wasn't there a rumour that Matt Elliott was exiled from the Aus cricket team as he told his mrs the truth to what happens on overseas Cricket tours and a few blokes got caught out by this.

The way I heard the Elliott story was: arriving back in the airport his missus confronted him about cheating while on the trip. He defended himself with a "we all do it!", and appealed to the other guys for confirmation of this ("right guys, we all do it?"). While the other guys were also meeting their WOGs. Needless to say, this did not earn him any friends.
