what he brings to our side ( competitiveness, tight in a contest, passionate) are the things we need most right now.

what rodan brings to our side ( moments of brilliance, offensive attack, goal kicking midfielder) are not so necessary ( with better options ie pearce/hartlett), and in fact some of the things which are costing us games.

we need to get rodan out of our side asap. is brilliant 1 in 6 games if that, even pearce is more consisitant and racks up more disposals and inside 50's and i dont think rodan has a tag too often either. we need rodan playing sub at best, pearce off the hff after he gets a decent game in the sanfl, surj giving us all on hbf/ hff, and some ball winners ie boak, salopek ( actually play him in the centre).

ive had enough of our run past the stoppage and hope the ball falls to us mentality of our midfield.

I don't think so. It was all over the radio before the teams were even announced on Thursday. I reckon there's no conspiracy in this one.

The match committee probably didn't see a defensive forward role for Surj against the Kangaroos and by going with Pittard, Pettirew, P. Stewart and Logan in the team there's no spot for him down back.
