Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure he was eligible to be drafted last year and noone selected him or rookied him so I'm thinking that provides the answer.

Yeah I was surprised he wasn't picked up in some form last year. He captained Calder and kicked a few goals. He is back playing at Greenvale in Essendon District at the moment and doing very well there too so you never know if he might be picked at a later age. He's got some good size for a kid (as in he's not a stick) which might hold him in good stead. I've played cricket against him actually. Not a bad bowler for Greenvale so pretty talented kid.

I think Neil Balme and Stephen Wells will look at key position forwards (Full Forward and a Centre Half Forward) in the up and coming AFL National Draft.

We have a healthy depth of mid fielders and with Nathan D expressing his intention to leave the Cattery at the end of the year, we need to bolster the depth of our key position players. A potential young Centre Half Forward and Full Forward would be sweet whilst a possible key postiion backman who can play at full back and centre half back/back pocket would be a handy acquistion.

We also need a ruck coach. Gee, Shane Mumford has developed into one of the top 5 ruckman in the AFL. He has been mentored by former Essendon, Richmond and Sydney Swan ruckman Steve Taubert.

A ruck coach at Skilled Stadium would be a handy acquisition at Geelong. Mark Blake is a 20th century ruckman who cannot punish the opposition with his mobility. He is a damn good tap ruckman, but he does not punish the opposition with his around the ground work.

Big fan of Jacob, playing at the Bendigo Bombers this season and led the Calder Cannons to the premiership last year, terrific kick on both feet and reminds me a bit of Mark Ricciuto. Would love him in the red and black and have a little feeling that we may rookie him this year. Well here's hoping anyways
