GEELONG CATS!
O.K. I know must of you will cringe or think wtf? But if he is able to get over his injuries, find some form and get the hunger and desperation back, I'd rather have him in our best 22 than Kingsley.

Two years ago he was highly sought after - two years is a very long time ago. Then his was hot property, picking and choosing where to go. Now his is desperate to remain an AFL footballer. And its the desperate ones that tend to produce or bounce back better than anyone because they have a point to prove. He is also cheap considering the Bulldogs will have to pay out most of his contract.

I'm interested to hear what everyone's thoughts are on getting Jade to Geelong.

You do realise Kingsley kicked over 50 goals this year?

I think it would be a great move for you guys, youll get him for next to nothing and in a good team like the cats he would quickly regain confidence, if those bung knees hold out!

If we can get him for a 5th rounder I'd say yes, otherwise - I'd say ... yes, unless of course the Bulldogs wanted something in return ... i'd say .................................. no.

If the Bulldogs wanted nothing in return for him, the AFL said "here, have an extra spot on your list" AND Jade said "no thanks Cats, I will play gratis"...

...I WOULD STILL SAY NO!

(laughs)....yeah true....

I do also realise that Kingsley has kicked over 50 goals this season but he could have potentially kicked 70-80 if he had kicked the ones he should have as a professional AFL forward. I know I am a constant Kingsley bagger but I don't do it for the fun of it. I don't like bagging any of our boys. If you are a KPP at AFL level you are at least expected to drop the ball correctly on to your boot and not spray the pill kicking 30-40 metres directly in front.

Having said that he is the best we have got...good on him...that's also why we need to make a move on Rawlings or Polak.

Rawlings can't kick either..............

No way! Leave Rawlings alone (For a 5th rounder, and ******** all $$'s, then maybe :D )
He was on SEN today or the other day, saying how he's not a key forward and doesn't want to be. And yes...he can't kick either!

I was about to say that. Rawlings has had just as many let down games as Kingsley, probably more given the expectations on him. Really you've got to ask why Rawlings hasn't been getting a game? Has he been injured all year or is a 185cm midfielder a better option at FF?

You haven't watched much footy in the last 2 years, have you ?

Sorry, but the limo has left and Jade can rot in the VFL at Werribee.
Perhaps they'll also draft Shane Harvey. Those 2 deserve to be in the same VFL team.Actually,by next year they'll both be in the VFL reserves side.

Hell, why not. Put him on a one year deal. There would have to be 4 players up for delisting (Rahilly, Slade, Haynes, and one of McCarthy/Lonergan/Spencer as well as Sando). If he doesn't perform, we ditch him next year. If he does, we attempt to bundle him in a trade to get a higher draft pick for next year's much vaunted draft.

But JUBJUB is right about one thing: no limo for you, superstar. You can buy your own V-Line tickets out of your minimum wage.

GM

Rawlings for Haynes
or
Rawlings for 2nd, 3rd rounder

Get him cheap, may be a handy player if his injuries hold off.

I'm just so glad that we did not get him when he chose the bulldogs.

Could not have handled another dud draftpick.

Lucky we have OTTO!

Can't wait to see him rip games apart next year when he is fully fit.

Would be the stupidist move ever if we drafted him. Luckily we don't have room for him in the cap so it won't happen anyway. I can't beleive that some of you are actually considering offering something for him??? Come on, get with it. If anything, if he quits the Bulldogs then you could consider him for free in the PSD but I don't think so.

When the Geelong medico's examined him (during trade week rather than the doggies that did it two weeks after trade week) they said that they would get 2 good years out of him with the 3rd year being a gamble. Well it's year number 3 so why in hell would you want him now?

As for a replacement for Harley if he goes down, with another preseason under his belt Egan will slot in quite well with Mooney, Spencer & Lonergan as possible backups.

Expect the cats to draft some taller defensive players with their late draft picks (inc Rookie picks) with the first rounder going on a quick goalkicking midfielder.

I think you mean;

Anything >>> Rawlings

:)

Rawlings isn't the dud you make him out to be.

He's overrated sure, but play him in a proper position (reading the play off a defensive flank) and he'll produce alot more than currently.

That being said, I'd only open my eyes to anything about Rawlings if it involved the cheapest of all trades. Secondly, I'd have a full, thorough med examination to see how long he'd last. Thirdly, I'd want to know what the Bulldogs will be doing about his contract.

Pass all that and I'll think.
