The coverup has started....it’s only an irregularity

Someone used my account....

My food was spiked, my drinks were spiked

Those pesky new arrivals

I never trusted Quanor.

If his friend placed a bet under $50 the betting agency would have no reason to raise suspicion even if they knew they were friends which is extremely doubtful. If he told his friend to place it in order to not raise suspicion, why would he voluntarily come forward and confess?

"The betting investigation and expected suspension of young Collingwood star Jaidyn Stephenson was the result of him coming forward".

Where have we heard this before?

Jaidyn Stephenson betting investigation.

• Stephenson self-reported to the #AFL that he asked a friend to place a bet (less than $50) on his behalf.
• The bet was on the Round 9 Collingwood v St Kilda game.
• It involved the possession tally of at least 1 of his teammates.

Just don't get it. He either didn't know that you can't bet (lol?), or did know what he was doing and didn't trust his 'friend' to keep his trap shut..

Fox footy said he bet on himself for most goals....that is really bad and the equivalent of match fixing

Lol

If he's bet on himself for no goals or a negative outcome that he can influence then maybe

If he's bet on himself for most goals- can't see it being nearly as bad a Shaw or any previous player caught.

Storm in a tea cup. Dumb kid- give him a couple of weeks and a fine and let's move on.

I have a bigger issue with AFL gambling links and refusal of Gil to call out Kennett's racism than this.

The tools in this thread calling for his head are ridiculous-

Only one player has previously been suspended for gambling- and that was betting on an outcoem in which he ahd insider knowledge- player in a position markedly different to usual.
Backing yourelf- a full time forward for most goals- or a midfielder who plays there every week and usually gets most possies for most possies nowhere near shaw maxwell.
