Hopefully because our club have non-negotiable rules/standards on their quest to be as professional as possible. The reality is I don't know, but am comparing the original rumour to the information leaking out at the moment.

Because it's not a charity, good reason or not it's harsh love to instill a practice that a team is only as good as it's weakest link, last chain, final instance, and if you can't bank on that to be reliable, if you can't trust that individual to be there when you need him to be there, then all you end up with is failure.

So everyone gets punished because he is in the group, he is in the chain and Carlisle needs to be depended on to be there and he wasn't in time, tough love or not.

Clubs don't accept a note from their parents excusing them for tardiness because they're learning to tie their shoelaces.
