Why should I get over it when I firmly believe that Meyer and JON are much better options for the club going forward and as it stands we have King as the player with a contract and these two looking as though there careers at RFC are nearly over.

I personally think Meyer at 22 183cm easily 83kg after i watched him in VFL can kick can handball knows where to go etc.. is a much better option.

JON at 191cm just as quick but only 20 and makes the same mistakes as King but being 4 years younger makes him the better option IMO.

im with you i dont want jon or myer to be delisted. heck i didnt even want patty bowden to be delisted but shit happen and after all its just a game for our viewing okay its more than a game to me.

Well I never rated him...good game v Collingwood last year and Carlton this year...well yeah that's 2 good games...wacko... Sorry but it ain't much use to a side a player stopping in the middle of the game to do 300 push-ups and the ability to pull angry faces is not a highly valued skill at any level of football let alone AFL. King is dumb , too small and a liability, and at 25 he is no longer a kid. Shoulda punted him. Very ordinary footballer.

The difference here is that king works ass off and gives you 120 percent ok while some o these young guys need to pull the finger out and work harder and show there talent full stop.King was awsome at the start of the year but when he got injured he fell away.

Is Meyer lazy or has he been injured most of the time? Looks to me like he's been working pretty hard in the gym, if nothing else.

Can't believe people on here are disappointed he got signed up.

Has leg speed, has grunt, has a crack every time. Never takes a backward step.

Anyone that does what 300? pushups holds the type of determination you want in a side.

His skills are not spectacular but that not what he is in the side for.

His fighting atributes we sorely lack across the park at the moment.

I felt sorry for him this year. He had a bad one and I'm sure he knows he would be running out of chances after this contract.
But he deserves another chance based purely on his enthusiasm for trying to get himself better and what he brings to the team.
And as much as I luv his aggressive and never say die attitude, I felt sometimes this year he lost it a bit. He's got to channel that aggression and try not to fly off the handle and be a bit smarter. ie not to lose focus like I felt he did sometimes when things didn't go his way all the time.
I love this kid, but he has some work to do.
He deserves another chance.

If that's an inference that King is "far better" than the likes of Tambling, then you truly do have NFI or you're being deliberately stupid. King is the worst player on our list. Period. Even JON's a gun compared to him.

i think king is the type of player that would just push himself to be up to the standard of the team and just keep on improving to break back into the team

He is up to AFL standard because he has played some great AFL games. He has taken the same path as AFL Premiership Captain Sam Mitchell. U/18's/VFL/Rookie (orSupp) and then Senior list! Bloody Oath I'd keep him!!!!!

Those who are saying he isnt good enough to be on a top 4 team list but is worth a spot on ours are missing the point.

If he isnt good enough to be in a top 4 side then we need to move him on because that is our goal.

Tough calls need to be made on players like this.

Hawthorn moved on a few in this age bracket when they identified them as not being able to take them right to the top.

Dont doubt his determination. I think he will go out knowing he gave it his all.

But I see too many limitations in his game. There are players in our side who will have to go before we are a top 4 side. I just see him as one of them.

Good luck to him with the contract as he is doing what he is entitled to do but I just see him as a representation of where we are at the moment. A long way off playing with the big boys.

King is in our best 22. A little injury and people want him gone. Played some great footy for us, great sides have depth.
Should we give him the ass and go get another VCE student who couldn't take a hit from a strong opposition player, give him 3 years and then delist him. Yeah, thats worked a treat for us in the past!
