Loving seeing this guy step it up..
he's gone from a fringe 22 player at the start of the season to being our no2 forward behind Cloke.
13 goals to round 8 puts him on target for a 30-40 goal year, thats something.
Steady, composed, courageous and accurate in front of goal.
Hard working and makes intelligent passes and plays.
Well done mate.
We are very fortunate he has stepped up with Fasolo and Beams out.

He and Dwyer get my gong for consistent effort and playing a damaging style. Great early start to the season, keep it up guys and see you in Sept

he's only gonna get more consistent, really exciting. the way he sneaks outt he back is second to none

Hes one of the reasons Didak cant get a look in (along with Blair Karakouer and Dwyer). If you want to lose a veteran, this is the way to do it...to have them fade into the sunset beacause somebody younger is capable of doing more.

Big fan of Elliott. Mind you we gave away a first round pick for him so we should expect a lot.

I remember when he was drafted, he was compared to and he compared his own playing style to that of Stephen Milne. He's better defensively and in the air that Milne, and goes about his game with far less fuss and fanfare as well. An inspired pickup.

thought it was Hird he compared himself to? Sneaky bugger

It's only his second year too, so it gives us a glimpse into how good this years first year players will be next season.

Jamie is almost at the point where is a consistent contributor already, and he's making the trade for him and Clarke (a late first rounder) seem like a bargain.:thumbsu:

Don't understand why the media is talking about Walters when we have Elliott! He has evolved into one of the most exciting small forwards in the game in JUST HIS SECOND YEAR. Much, much more to come !

Looks to have the ability to roll into a midfielder aswell in a few years. Could be an absolute gem. Reminds me of a young Gary Ablett Jr in the way he moves. Will he ever be that good? most defiantly not. But even if he can get half as good as the little champ will be a very good 250+ game player. Hopefully all of them at our club!

I'm excited to see how Elliott will develop his game and what kind of player he will turn into.

I have to admit, I didn't expect him to be this good, this quickly. I mean, I knew he had a massive leap and is a fierce tackler, but I didn't rate his pace all that much. I didn't peg him as the kind of player to get out the back and burn off defenders to pounce on a loose ball. We've seen that happen to us so many times this year, it was nice to see someone from our end do it for once.

He's also really damaging and clean with his disposal now. That was a knock on him last season, that his kicks didn't hit enough targets.

He has grown and developed his game heaps at a rate that really surprises me. Elliott will be big, if he isn't already. If he can add front and centre crumming to his repertoire, he will have an amazingly well rounded game.

While the Medhurst comparison is thrown around, I actually think we might have a mini-Brad Johnson on our hands.

Great way to go all round. The player is also spared the indignity of being mercilessly lampooned on our boards for a final season.

Reminds me of, dare I say it, 2010..

Pick 52 from memory, was a real D. Garlett pick, as in had the supposed issues he has.

Makes you wonder.
Yes, I remember on draft day he was a big slider, was expected to go in the 15-20 range.

Before we give you too much praise as a prophet, exactly which Thomas were you talking about, Ed? ;)

I was going to remove the first line. But 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
