Just out of curiosity, has anyone here ever met him in person?

I like the way he goes about his footy, doesnt say much or show much emotion, just does the job. Anybody know what his off field personality is like?

Yes i have a number of times, and is always good for a chat. Loves his golf and is a top bloke off the field. Takes time out with the supporters and remembers faces of the supporters.

Really good to hear that he is down to earth. Would have thought this from the way he goes about it on the ground.

He seems like a pretty good bloke. I recall an interview where he spoke about teaching Shaun Grigg how to read picture books or something. Geez it'd be great to talk shit about your mates like that and have it turn up in the paper the next day.

Met him last year at the Dome at one of the games that he was out injured.

Many players when approached would shy away or not engage in conversation but Jamo was more than happy to speak with me 1 on 1 for a good 5 minutes which was fantastic.

He told me he'd be back for the Collingwood game a few weeks down the track which he was ;)

Seems like a really nice bloke, very down to earth and more than happy to mingle with the supporters. Great leadership potential.

He sure does have captain material written all over him
I havent had the chance to meet him yet, but am looking forward to it.
Im looking forward to next weeks game as he has been elected captain.
I read it in a herald sun article before round one.
Carlton will rotate the captaincy until Judd's return, with Kade Simpson to lead the side in Round 2 and defender Michael Jamison to fill in for the Blues' Round 3 clash against Essendon.

Can't wait to see him lead the boys out!

I know him well, wont giveaway the connection but he's an absolute champion.

Genuine, country boy, loves the club.

I follow him every week - Even against Fev.

Embrace him, you have no idea how much he bleeds for you blokes.

I worked with his old man, Jim, for a couple of years in the early 90s. Jim was a pretty decent bloke, very dry sense of humour, good head on his shoulders. Loved road bikes, hated greatest hits albums. If Mick turns out anything like him he'll be doing okay.

You are such a "name-dropper"! Next you'll be saying you know that wrestler from the 90's: Ronnie Popps. :D
