Yep. Which is why Janus is right here:
So Frampton may have helped in that area.

Even when we had both Watts and Marshall fit mid year, Marshall played vs Carlton and we dropped Watts instead of playing them both.

Watts was playing poorly and said so himself. Bassett said that there was room in the side for both if they were in form.

And can people stop talking about Frampton as if playing him was going to do anything but ensure that there was a liability on the ground and the loss of a rotation because he would most assuredly blow up fitness wise due to not having a decent pre season?

If Frampton isn’t fit his 15-20 possies sure look good?

Cause playing SANFL football is the same fitness standard as AFL football.

You think they just hand the ball to a ruck 15+ times?

If a ruck is getting that much pill he is obviously getting around the ground well.

SANFL football is considerably slower than AFL football. That’s the point.

It will be interesting to see if Polec gets booed every time he gets the ball.

I remember when Chaplin played his last game at Footy Park, The crowd was all over him and he booted the ball sideways out of bounds and the crowd bronx cheered.

I'll be booing Chris Davies every time Polec gets the ball. This is very much the club's fault, not Jared's.

Very much like the Lever situation, we clearly for whatever reason don't think he's worth his market value despite being in our top 5 players. Going on what's been reported (which I know you can't trust but that's all we have), our offers sound insulting.

I had Polec as our 2nd best player last year but the coaches didn't even have him in the top 10 in the B&F leaderboard which was interesting.

And compelling evidence that he looks after himself first and foremost.

Could losing Polec be a calculated risk to improve our draft position?

With NM’s first and St Kilda’s second in our hands we would have some genuine currency to move up the order.

Will be the equivalent of Nick Stevens.

He leaves, we win the flag.

We do. If pick 3 is gettable we are in as good as a position as we could hope to get it.

The crows have a fair bit of currency as well so will be interesting

Yeah. The club has never made mistakes with contracts...

It has. The mistake would be losing Wingard for Polec, which is why we are like “Seeya Jared.”

First time I can remember we have sold someone high, if we do get that first rounder

Selling high surely implies we will get overs. We will not get overs - we will be lucky to break even.

Whether we get North’s first or not, I doubt we are moving up the draft order. Way too many going ‘wow, that top 1/2/3’ and then propose trades based on pick point values. Yet if people were on the other side and we had pick 1/2/3 we’d be taking 0.5 seconds to say GAGF to those proposals.

Polec’s manager being overseas has become the new ‘the cat’s on the roof’.

Is he not taking the club’s calls and we are so credulous as to believe he’s overseas or does the club think supporters are going to keep buying the line?

Suddenly the player's manager is unavailable. It doesn't really matter where in the world he is, he can still be contacted.

This overseas nonsense is utter bullshit and embarrassing that it's still used as an excuse.
