How do you figure that?
Our 1st round pick is most likely going to be useless for us anyway (bids on Tarryn Thomas).
North wouldn’t accept that due to a few academy and father-sons coming through, that second pick is worth more in points than a junk 3rd rounder back. It’s why we traded one of our picks last year for one of your third’s this year.Mitchell was forced out of Sydney by salary cap and was barely in their 22.
Your proposed trade is a horrific rip off.
We paid a first and 2nd for Dixon and Ryder and both had issues that devalued them greatly. Ryder was walking out and gc wanted Dixon gone and he barely played half a season most years.
Weller pick 2 by gcs overpaying , pick 12 for Cameron.
As already said Polec was a pick 5 and if you drafted a pick 5 and he has anywhere near as good as Polec it would be a win.
Norths 1st and 2nd for Polec plus 3rd back is the deal and it's being friendly to north.
If port wanted a very good mid from a team it would cost us 2 picks.

Sorry I was talking realistic trades.

Adding on top that 750k figure is way off, 600k is closer to the truth and he’s coming out of contract.
Maybe not his worth and most of you won’t agree with it, but a first and one of our fringe SA boys is a very distinct possibility.
That's what I was thinking. Points are just as useful to North.

Yah, for our 2018 season ending. Lose to the likes of Freo, retain Voss, lose Polec, more years of Ken. Can't say I'm looking forward to 2019.
He hasHas Polec been that great this year that he could take out the B&F? His last 4 or 5 weeks have been good but his start to the year was patchy.
Any chance Polec going to North could include Pruess coming back?
I probably should have said SA player, as Dumont has come on a bit this year as a best 22. Sam Durdin is the only other player that springs to mind, not sure Port would be that interested in Durdin though, Dumont perhaps, but he’s pretty settled atm.Who do you rate as fringe SA boys?
As if that thought had crossed our minds100% correctamundo FF.
Fork us over some of your later picks for points so we can cover for Thomas & Scott (I expect), and all parties get a good deal.
Meanwhile, your clubs wedges itself between the Crows first two picks (7 & 13) and (hypothetically) pinch either Hately or Rozee from under their nose.
I like it, probably wouldn’t happen, despite how shitful the saints are, they wouldn’t give up pick 5 in the super draft. Can't see port doing that, he's one of our best and most important players, so a fringe SA boy is next to unless, maybe send that pick and a player to saints for their pick 5.
Then you may get somewhere.

Realistically there would be little chance in North doing that. Tom Mitchell went for pick 14, so I’m not sure Polec would warrant more than our first.
Especially this years as we would be looking to accumulate later picks to match on a Thomas bid and hopefully a Scott bid. So giving up additional picks post our first rounder just doesn’t seem likely.
