Whats the go with Jarryd Lyons? Is he expected to stay on your list?
I've heard his name around behind all the glamour of the Beams, Ryder etc deals.
What would you take for him? How about a straight swap with South Australian, Matt McDonough??

I think he'd be a bit better rated than that. I hope we keep him.
According to some rumours, he requested a trade to Melbourne (city), before Sando got the boot.

Looks likely he'll stay. Looks like a long term replacement for Scott Thompson. Clearance machine. Our list manager David noble says Lyons has a two year contract in front of him. With a new coach I think he'll take it.

recently watched on fox the crows v gc game round 11 this year. as an example, he didn't have an absolute ripper (18t's, 11cp, 1g, 2clr) but just the way he collects the ball and dishes off is quite classy. Not going off one game, as i keep a close eye on him, i just think he could be a very solid player. Would hurt to see him tearing it up for another club. That being said... swap for rance?;)

Hes worth than McDonough, he got dropped for Tiges this year after stuffing up and couldnt find his way back in, he lacks pace but has good football brain but is limited where you can play him, sort of a HBF only.

I thought Matt Crouch was the long term replacement for Scotty Thompson.

Would be great if he stayed on. Can rack up good clearance, contested ball player, can take a grab and kicks goals. But he is iceberg slow.

Pretty sure he has an Adelaide girlfriend and is well settled here. Maybe Walshy has come out and told him he will get senior chances next year. Looks like at this stage he is going to stay and I am glad if he does.

He was very clearly not happy with how things were going under Sanderson. Whether he sticks around now or not is yet to be seen but I have a feeling he'll stay.

As much as I think its great that he wants to hang around and fight it out for his position, I seriously doubt he's going to get any more game time under Walsh as he was under Sando. He struggled for a spot in our midfield this year even with van Berlo out for the whole year, B. Crouch also injured for the first half of the year, then Thompson, Douglas and Kerridge also missing fair chunks of the year. As yet, none of our midfield regulars have been delisted/retired and the only one close to that is Thompson, yet we have van Berlo to come back into the side, Smith to potentially spend more time through the midfield and the likes of Grigg, M. Crouch, Atkins etc all looking for more game time as well.

Ours is most definitely not the list you want to be on if you're a young inside midfielder and you don't have either elite pace or an elite leg.

Sam Mitchell is also iceberg slow.

He's a long way off having the foot skills of Sam Mitchell though.

I'm a fan but recognise his predicament within our squad, though Thompson could decline quickly.

If he dominates SANFL and plays some good AFL games again next year his trade value won't drop.

Thommo has failed to get through the last 2 years without being obviously limited. Let's hope he's managed better in 2015.

Disappointing we didn't trade Lyons and our first and second rounder for Morris.

Has lateral movement unlike most of our players. Also gets his arms clear of the tackle unlike most of our players. Will be a gun if he is played regularly.
